Tim Dillon defends Rogan/Alex Jones and explains what it really means to be a comedy journalist. From episode 224: • #224 - American Chains... For bonus episodes of the show: / thetimdillonshow
@@tombystander yeah.. Alex or Tim would be talking... joe would derail the conversation... then Alex would bring up Election Day while Joe was pontificated about how important it is to blah blah blah. Joe’s a douche
Prime reason why he shouldn’t have signed with Spotify. Dude was making plenty anyway but now he feels he has to censor for fear that he’ll be kicked off the platform. In older Alex Jones podcasts there was never that much fact checking
@@bjorn-jameshanrahan8183 yeah... and Alex had nothing to account for... so he got drunk and had fun rather than be interrogated over semantics and hyperbole.
He's got a great head of hair for sure. If he lost the weight I bet his bone structure would be nice. I respect that he is comfortable with his body but I can't understand why he doesn't lose the weight. It would be good for his career, his health, his personal life... Do it Tim. Start lifting, get a trainer, start eating clean.
@@vanivari359 you're mislead amd brainwashed by mainstream media. I can tell by how you formulated your emotion led response. Rogan said himself many of the things Alex have said have come to fruition. I know your type, you'll sit here and argue about how Monsanto putting pesticides on our crops is a conspiracy 🙄.
@@vanivari359 almost everything he brought up in the last episode of joe rogan podcast he was on was proven to be true. Yeah he’s a fucking nut job but i think that’s just his gimmick or something.
I read some of the articles he was talking about. Under facts it says: "we dont know about any wife or girl friends of his. His friend that we interviewed said he doesn't date much " had they done even the slightest amount of investigation they would know why that statement is hilarious. Under their rules they should be cancelled for mis-oriantating. Morons
Tim should pretend to go full woke warrior on them for assuming his sexuality. They’d probably think he’s serious and be forced to write a terribly worded twitter apology. He could then just shit on them further for that.
I remember being called a lunatic and ostracized by my group of friends when I brought up Epstein’s island, the plane, the Franklin Coverup, and Bohemian Grove.
They were not your friends and start with. You got off easy finding that out. Two ways to find out if someone is your friend. Tell them you're voting for Trump or loan them $20.
Fuck them. Talk your shit. All the people here saying there’s a time and a place, and somehow it’s your fault, clearly have never said anything worth a damn. For normies it is never time of place. It’s not you or what you’re saying. It’s them. And if you wait to have the okay from them, you’ll be talking about memes and articles on buzzfeed forever.
Tim is also one of the most deeply sarcastic (and good at it) people out there, and I’ve met a few people in person who I’ve met who cannot detect sarcasm at all. You would always have to explain to them and apologize because you were only trying to make them laugh. These are the kind of people who are writing these articles. And on top of that they are bullies with bad intentions.
“No longer thought-provoking” “Makes an article about it” This is why there are legitimately no journalists anymore. Who can be that stupid and unaware and still call themselves investigative?
Truth be told, I'm here because of Rogan's podcast with you and Alex. Since then I've binge watched and shared your episodes with everyone I know who actually understands comedy. Anyways, I'm glad I found out about you and hope to see you do stand up in Boston soon.
You’ve earned a new follower sir. Thanks for being objective. That’s why people love JR. Hes objective and not afraid to listen to things he may disagree with. You’re officially my 2nd favorite podcast and that’s a compliment. Keep up the good work!
Good shit, man. So right. I heard about the alex jones show but only found out you were a part of it today. Obviously i havn't watched it yet or keep up with Rogan's show as often as the Grayzone or TLAV. Sorry to put it to ya this way haha.
Tim that was the first time I ever saw you , and I became a fan of yours that day .your hilarious and you seem to have a good head on your shoulders . If people don’t get you , screw them .
Tim you are both funny and real. You keep being you. I always watch any Joe Rogan episode in which you appear. Someone has to poke the bear (establishment) and shake up all the haters. I'm 61 and seriously over anyone telling me how to think, who to vote for or what is believable from that bunch of clowns who try to convince the public they are on the up and up (politicians/mainstream media). BS words/phrases I am sick of in 2020... "woke" "tick the boxes" "enablers" "triggered" "gender? anything".. LAUGH people...it's what gets you through life!
i have unexplained redness too tim. i think its the rage and sadness from my childhood trying to escape from through my skin but the epidermis always wins.
Tim Dillon needs a set that looks exactly like the old Rush Limbaugh set. His timing is so similar and content 100 times better. Would add quite a few listeners cause it’s be on the news etc
Whenever I hear the phrase "comedy journalist" I'm reminded of Christian Science. There's literally nothing about the title which is descriptive or accurate in nature.
i had to turn off half way through. jo wouldnt let alex speak, interrupting him all the time. no wonder alex said 'i can just here and make fart jokes if you like'. uh
Yeah, Joe killed the vibe bad. Joe could have put a disclaimer before the podcast about how his show is a podcast and is meant for entertainment, fact check on your own. And he could have listed Alex's sources in the video description area. Had he done something like that it could have been a nice flowing conversation.
@@user-ho8br1cw8c I know that we go into these JRE podcasts to be entertained, but I think I get why Joe was so hard on Alex. To me he wanted his audience to actually have the chance to listen to Alex and see how much he actually knows, thus helping him regain some credibility after being de-platformed and shunned by the masses. I think this position was reinforced by Joe after he posted the video that AJ mentioned of Bill Gates downplaying that 80% of the people in his vaccine trials getting sick. Here’s what he said in the post’s caption: “I knew people were going to criticize the content of the podcast without even listening and I was right. That’s why I fact checked every single crazy thing he said, and all of them were verified. People have said he spread “anti-covid vaccine conspiracy theories” because he said that 80% of the people who were given one of the vaccines got sick. Here’s the video of Bill Gates admitting it himself. Now, I’m NOT anti vaccine, and if a safe and effective covid vaccine is created I’ll take it and encourage others to take it, but I wanted to put this video up to validate what he said. He said a lot of crazy, but accurate things, and that’s what I’ve been saying about him for years. He’s most certainly fucked up in the past, but this episode and the subjects he exposed highlight why I chose to have him on.”
Tim Dillon alex Jones was my favorite episode ever. I just wish joe let tim and Alex go off. I would have been rolling. Joe needed to stfu and stop with the “fact check” Look do it later I don’t care. I wanted alex and Tim
Cool it Tim. These folks just want a few clicks by leveraging your name and fame. Look at it this way: you may have already added new listeners of your podcast :))
Please don’t insult stenographers by comparing them with “journalists”. Modern journalists are among the most wretched little turds on Earth, whereas stenography is hard af. I learned machine shorthand using Phoenix theory; in order to get certified one must “write” (they call it writing instead of typing) 225 words per minute @ 97.5% accuracy. Not once, but in -Jury Charge -Literary, and -Q and A All three are very different and have separate challenges. Oh yeah, the tests are really long, as well. This isn’t a 60-second speed run type of deal. For reference, the world record for typing on a QWERTY keyboard is less than 100 words per minute, while an above average speaker talks around 160-180 (180 wpm would be considered borderline rap lol). On top of all this, you’ve got to write while listening. Also, you must stay roughly a sentence behind, since you need context in order to decide which specific route to take (homophones, proper nouns, briefs, etc.) There are hundreds of rules you’ve got to learn so well that it becomes muscle memory; they must be applied without pause. It is red oculi y’all complex. Then there are all of these instances in which there are conflicts, and the rules don’t apply. You’ve got to remember all of these specific examples through sheer cold memorization. There are literally thousands. There are cool shortcuts though. For instance “Ladies and gentlemen of the jury” can be done in a single stroke. If you have an electronic stenograph machine hooked up to a program (I used Case Catalyst; $10,000 program) you can create your own. The General way it works is that you write in syllables instead of individual letters like you would in a traditional keyboard. The left side of the keyboard has the beginning sounds, right side ending sounds. The middle where your thumbs go are vowels. The sounds are phonetic; ie the way they sound, so there is no C for instance (hard C is actually a K, and soft C is actually an S). There isn’t enough room to fit all the relevant letters on both sides of the keyboard, so there are specific combinations of keys used to produce hidden letters. This is simply the very basics. You’ve got to do all this simultaneously, plus *much* more, all at talking speed. F’n insane. I thought it was as hard as law school The graduation rate was less than 4% at the college I attended, and it was considered either #1 or #2 in the nation. Shit’s tough
