Tim Dillon talks about Shannon O'Conner who threw crazy teen parties for her kids. Tim Dillon breaks down the Metaverse. From episode 275: • #275 - Cool Mom! | The... Bonus episodes every week: / thetimdillonshow
Jeanine was our cool mom. She let us kids drink and smoke in a safe environment and made sure everyone was taking care of and had a safe ride home. She also would get us taco bell. Her daughters didn't even do anything and were pretty straight edge and just hung out. I was told she passed away a year or so ago. Rest in Peace Jeanine you were a good woman.
he absolutely has a point about a designated party house and the cool parents defending it with physical violence. Learned many lessons in my best friend's backyard, and many times we had to be physically removed and possibly threatened with violence. No one ever ratted, you just learned and came back a better person the next weekend!
My grandma bought us beer. She let me smoke cigarettes. While driving us home from school she bought me my first BB-gun when my parents woulden't let me. She let us lean out of the car to make snowballs off of the snow on the roof and chuck them at moving cars.
....it was all fun and games until one of the snow balls caused a Chevy Lumina to spin out and flip, catching on fire while the family inside screamed in terror. Grandma sighed, chugged her beer, trudged to the car and lit her cigarette on the flames. She dropped trow, squatted at an angle & squeezed...putting the fire out with a mighty hose blast of Schlitz piss. She belched like a moose "You're welcome". Grandma was a hero.
@@ShineDawg I just worry because I have a habit if passing out with my anus exposed in the moonlight. I also have a problem with drooling when I pass out. I have been told also that when I'm passed out that I sleep with my eyes open and a demonic smile and mumble, "mount me ya old cum pig!" I just wouldn't want Tim to get the wrong idea... again.
I used to go to Los Gatos parties in high school and they were incredible. Los Gatos high is like a private school public school. I used to wish I had parents like a Los Gatos kid.
My mom would fetch me and my friends from a local nightclub at 3am on weekends. She was amazing in retrospect. I was a responsible child and started trying to sober up around 1am so I wouldn't shame her. I should buy her something nice.
I had a few of those moms. One was a major alcoholic, died in maybe her late 40s, early 50s from it. The first time I took LSD when I was 16 she took me to Walgreens to buy cigarettes and beer. I was the one who probably should have been driving.
We didn’t have a “cool” mom in our friend group. We did however, had a friend who lived alone with his brothers (16,18, and 21 each) because their mom abandoned them and dad was is prison, so we could do anything we wanted. It was technically their grandmothers house but she rarely stopped by. And when she did she wouldn’t care about what we were doing. Really crazy to think about in hindsight
I went to Los Gatos high and this woman is a very good representation of the town folk. We used to take shots and smoke cigars with the dads while the moms got plastered drinking wine. It is true though that the school has a horrendous rape culture
I was living in West San Jose (our phone book said Saratoga, Campbell, and Los Gatos) when I read a “Diablo” story about kids at Los Gatos High School had planned to bomb it. And the kids happened to be all East Asian, very successful students. Oh, and a 48 Hours Mystery about a kid from Los Gatos who disappeared in the 70s. And his body was found off of a walking trail in the late 90s/early 2000s. And the murderer was a fellow Los Gatos high school student who used to microwave cats… The story talked about the differences in wealth between the people who lived in town. And those who lived in the Mountains.
I really want your side kick to start his own you tube channel. He can just play any comedians jokes and giggle to them... Or even no jokes and just giggle occasionally. It's a real art..
me and my friends wouldn’t stop doing drugs and dumb shit in public so my friends mom said we could do it all safely at her house and honestly that was the best thing for us
fact check: TRUE! Most of my friends had wine cellar where we got wasterd as teens. By the time we got our drivers license we all understood our limits! No one got a DUI.
@@LilTaco777 If you live in a wine region a lot of people will have wine cellars.. Same as people living on the lake probably have a boat... Plus in Europe drinking alcohol as a teen is not a big deal...
As the daughter of a “cool” Mom I salute you ✊🏼 better to experiment with psychedelics dressed in costumes from the comfort of the family room before the predator’s maze of a frat house or a “secret” warehouse event promoted by Carlos 🙃
Very true. My sister had a little drink up camping with her friends in the bottom paddock of my parents farm. Lucky they missed another one that her friends guy friend was a part of. The parents were away and a bunch of guys in their late teens were going to host "the coolest party ever" where a bunch of girls got EXTREME pressure, almost forcing them to fuck all these older teen guys.
I’m 22 and I still chill with the cool mom and her son from highschool. There house was a constant hotbox every single day ever since I met them like 6 years ago. Some of my best memories were at that house so I consider them family.
So if you get deep. When you play a character either in comedy, as an actor, or even in music. A piece of you is that character. There is a bit of Michael Corleone in Al Pacino. And there is a bit of Latka in Andy Kaufman. So in a sense Tim is never joking
Our cool mom was Renee. Beautiful military wife who lived right outside of our neighborhood; cooked the best food and let everyone hang out and just chill after school. We would walk to their house and hang until it was time to take the bus back home. She was classy (still is) and I love her for who she was at the time. Would never ever snitch on her bc she’s the best. We didn’t drink in her house bc that was really the only rule, but we created plans to cheat on tests, and she was just there for us. ❤❤❤
Tim Dillon is one of thee greatest comic of the 21st century! He is a satirical genius, and the comedy is done how comedy is supposed to be done. It's suppose to be funny and he does a great job ! 💯👍
Exactly.... Coast to coast debauchery with a bunch of functional addicts who were clout feinds before social media even exists as our parents... Surviving growing up in the 80's & 90's without a debilitating mental health condition or raging addiction by adulthood (or just managing them) is pretty fucking noteworthy imo....
In the UK in my little town, well on my estate (projects area) we had a woman called Mad Claire who used to knock out speed to us when we were in our later teens. 16/17. We never partied with her, but she supplied the party so we could go and learn adulthood. Without her I wouldn't have grown up that's the truth. She was a legend. 😂😂😂
2023 cool mom update: "Prosecutors say Los Gatos mother tried to establish drug ring in jail". “In all, Defendant and M.J. discussed their plans to sell drugs across dozens of different recorded jail calls for an extended period,” the document reads. “They discussed timing, logistics, customers, pricing, and manufacture extensively.”
Then those kids end up being Ill equiped for life, can't hane shit get pushed around by people with more life experience. Great idea don't let kids grow up keep them ignorant and stupid that creates competent adults.
My kid goes to that highschool. She knew the son. He hated that his mom was throwing party's. This woman was living vicariously thru these kids, super weird shit. Growing up in this town. Los Gatos is where the "Rick kids" go. And when I was in highschool I use to sell to those kids and their parents. We've all seen those cool "parents" and parties growing up. But this mom was promoting reckless behaviour and wasn't "keeping them safe" and was allowing assaults to happen. And that is the complete opposite of what a "cool mom/dad" does.... Thank god I have a open communicative relationship with my daughter.
"I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU!!" As an Uncle who has tried many times advise his oldest nephew against making the same dumb mistake I did and him being a little twat... yeah, I know how the guy feels in that moment
