Take it from someone who' s been playing video games for most of my life: success in the online world is hollow and empty. It's a cheap substitution for developing real life relationships and skills.
Success in the real world is hollow and empty. When you die no one's gonna know or care who tf you were in life unless you were EXTREMELY influential like Elon musk as an example
The best part of the entire pod was when Joe was at a loss and asked something like "How do I even get started?" and Tim without missing a beat went, "Connect me... to your bank"
this dude asically said "the climate change issue that isnt really affecting climate is going to force governments to force its people inside, Youll own nothing and be happy, everyt5hing youll need the government will provide!!!!" thats what thatidiots talking about Who wants to live in a metaverse nmot me
This will most certainly become the future, especially the media future. It's how advertising and prioritizing products will be done. Having land near a future celebrity will get far more attention than someone with land further away from celebrities. The Corporate world will take over much of it b/c you wont have to buy ads and promote things conventional, merely having good digital real estate will bring eyeballs to it. It probably wont happen for decades and the version people are buying into now is NOT the system that will be used. Years ago 4k Tv was all the rage and the future of tv, I went out and bought a $2500 55inch 4k to be "future proof", one of the first rounds of 4k tvs... a few years later a $400 55 inch tv has more capabilities than my early ground breaking PoS 4k tv without any of the features that are now considered base level . The early adopters usually get screwed with new tech, don't invest in the metaverse now

That was the only thing he was intrigued by. This whole metaverse bullshit is just another scam big tech aka FB is shoving down our throats and sheeple if foolish enough will believe it.
Of course you did. You only found it funny because Joe laughed at it. Lots of comedians say funny shit on the podcast but it goes over Rogan’s head and the fan boys don’t pick up on it. However, when Rogan finds something funny, his lemmings also point out in the comments how hilarious it is.
This whole metaverse thing gives me chills for the future. It's like this generation has gone completely mad. Selling plots of digital land? Come on. Get into the mad asylum already. Having a meta universe where we can do activities, meet and learn is great, but the ultra monetization of it is beyond ridiculous.
@@maebandy right so if you are basically dead according to all those end of life scenarios you’ve just listen what the fuck kind of good is the meta verse
@@maebandy Lol technology offers solutions to these problems, you don’t have to look to it for an alternative reality. I remember feeling sorry for the older folks seeing how they couldn’t keep up with the technological advancements and thinking how the time will run them over well I feel exactly the same now, and I am in my 20s
You are not the future. This is like furries. People don’t get it because they are normal and this crap is self-destructive and cringe. “Remember when peope didn’t get how big is beautiful and it’s no big deal to be morbidly obese cause everyone is?”
The older folks you referenced were right to be skeptical, as there have been countless more failures than success stories in terms of new technology. Perhaps you’ve been paying attention long enough to see the same.
Everything he described already happened, just with less involvement of high profile personalities. People already paid for "highly" desired locations in virtual games, virtual land, and virtual commodity is already bought regularly in most games. Only difference here is him saying basically all or most of society will degrade to living their entire lives online.

Y'know, I feel like THIS is how a real life version of The Matrix would get started: they lay the groundwork down with a bunch of metaverses, then they beef up their development of artificial intelligence, the machines go bug-nut, and enslave us all in The Matrix, with our bodies harvested as batteries to keep The Matrix running. 🤣
With everything happening lately, it's really time for the ultimate podcast: Joe, Alex Jones, Eddie Bravo and Tim Dillon. It would be historical, let's make it happen!
Idk. The one with Alex Jones and Bravo was legendary but Bravo was a bit left out of it. Maybe instead of Bravo have one that does not believe in ANY conspiracies and have them bashing it out.
@@rudysconstruction Joey is kind of a one trick pony (drug stories). And he hasn`t the ability to engage in conversations. He has to own the topic or else he just stays silent. Some people just don`t know how to be in a conversational flow. Usually they are horrible listeners.
I agree and I can already see people losing their money with this facebook/metaverse, the same way they took my money for a facebook Ad! then blocked my account just as I was uploading the video ad, they never told me what the reason was. Simply stole my money, imagine paying $400,000 for a digital property that they can just delete or make disappear! This seems sketchy and only zuckerberg is gonna be raking in the billions!

If someone is willing to pay 450k for that piece of land and it got media coverage, there will be a bigger idiot out there that is willing to buy it for more, it's just how it works.
Except neural link has no basis or idea how to do actual visual projection. Any senses that it would somehow have to simulate would require even more invasive installation to different parts of the brain, which idk that the robot is capable to doing yet. Joe's laugh at the end when that guys says he's gonna start in a different metaverse and work hard to make it in a better one was completely spot on with my own
It's not that you won't be able to, it's that they will convince most people it is too dangerous to do so and through that fear-induced psychosis many won't be able to go outside. The world they're planning for us in the future is bleak and if we don't stop it now we will all be living in a nightmare.
My understanding is basically, “Real world is trash, so let’s just live in a fake one.” Ignoring the problems by living in a fantasy world isn’t going to make them go away. They have to be addressed and confronted.
