Good morning Jimmy and mrs. Pib Tim Dixon has got a very nice little truck there that truck has a lot of potential I am sure that Tim and Angie will put their touches on it Jimmy you and mrs. Pib have a blessed day and I will catch you in the next one
Good morning my friend! Yes that was a good trade and Tim has a great truck! I'm sure Tim and Angie will have a lot of fun with that truck! Have a blessed day today my friend and God bless you!
That is a cool truck. I am not usually a fan of those Wheels, but on this truck I think they go with it really well, they look good. Since it's got a clutch pedal and a hole in the floor I would think about a 5-speed. Years ago I considered converting my 80 model square body to a good Muncie 4-speed. Glad I never did because I am 72 years old and my knees are shot.😭😭😭 You and mrs. Pib have a great day.
Yes the wheels do look good on this truck! You and I think alike! I would have put a 5 speed in it too! But my knees are shot too! It's a struggle to walk! Finally get to retire and then your knees and shoulders go out! Lol. Thanks buddy for your comment!
Thanks for the upload PIB, neat Smokey the Bear sticker too! Funny you remember Speech class, I had an "S" issue too but I think it was because I didn't have my front teeth at the time...
I like the Smokey Bear sticker too! Lol. Missing your front teeth does make a huge difference! Lol. But my teeth were still in my mouth! Lol. Thanks for your comment my friend!
78 was the last year for flat top gas caps with no handle on them, but were only on the stepside pickups which were the last models to have them. Rewind to 73 which was the first year for gas caps to have a handle on top for easier opening & closing on the rest of the models. On square body pickups with only a single gas tank, the tank was only on the right hand side on 73 - 80 year models. In 81, the tank was moved to the left hand side. The square body stepside pickups were the last models to have a wood floor in the box.
@@primeredisbest also some of those square body fleetsides had wood floors too. It might've been 79, 80, not sure what the last year for it was exactly. The stepsides on the other hand, they put wood floors in all of them.
I think that it will make a nice truck too! I'd say that was a very interesting video to watch! I like videos like that! Thanks buddy for your comment!
78 was the last year for the headlight bezels with that design. In 79, they were produced the same but larger to cover the front blinker lenses too. 78 was also the last year for the round shaped gas filler hole & exposed gas cap.
Not sure if I saw this on the Facebook page or if I saw it on marketplace nice truck though. I have a square body S10 I have been fixing up would love a C10 but no one is making that trade haha.
It's be a real shame to yank the stick out of it. Lotta work to put one in and the manual parts are pretty rare. Rather than undoing a good thing, I'd just give Angie driving lessons. 😉
No, I'm saying the PO put in a lotta work to install the manual. Installing an auto is a relative breeze by comparison. As you know manuals are much rarer and a lot of guys think they're cooler. I taught my teenage daughter to drive a stick a few years back. It's a fun life skill the wife of a hot rodder like Timmy D should have. 💪 BTW, how's Angie's Camaro coming? Will you have a video update from this visit on that?
@SaneCayne But if the wife wants an Automatic then you give her an Automatic. Especially when Tim bought it for her! Her Camaro is at one if our friend's shop to be painted soon. Thanks
Everything you're seeing...it came straight from the factory....whoever started it knew what they were doing...buy it...put it back...salt flat wheels is what I wanted on my s10....I couldn't afford them....
