We picked this 1964 Chevy C10 up at a North Dakota farm auction in October! While it did start and run at the auction it was definitely not road worthy! Follow along as we transform this worn out old farm truck into a hot rod worthy of any local car show! This pickup has been SOLD! As always, thanks for watching!

Back in the 1960's, my Dad told me our Government Department of Lands & Forests bought about 50 of these from 1964 to 66, All dark green, and eventually sold them off at auction after their miles got up there. Used to see them on the roads decades after, still clocking along, one tough old truck. A few folks here still call the color Government Green. Cheers

I like the analogy you made when pointing out the worn spots on the door where the guy rested his arm, I could visualize and see how the paint was worn over time. I like the fact that its all there and the truck was treated like a favorite pair of old shoes. You did some nice subtle touches on a budget to make it more desirable. I think the stance is perfect with just the right amount of rake. The asking price is well worth it for a runner with all new brakes and clutch for someone to have and enjoy as is. Good job brother.

I like it. Farm truck turned cruiser. It ain't gonna be fast, but it'll get ya there every time. Sometimes you just use what's there and enjoy the thing rather than letting it snowball into a full rebuild that may never get done

Man, that is one SWEET '64!!! She sits right, looks cool and purrs. Glad you took off the topper, makes her look better. That park ranger green with white bumpers - just a classic 60's look. 10K is a VERY fair deal for a great example. Thanks for all the killer content and the laughs! On my 66 GMC, I kept the 15 inch rims it came with, and put 205/70r15's on the front and 255/70r15's on the rear. The 255's are the same diameter as the 235/75r15's it had so the speedo is even right. That gives it a raked front look like an old 70's muscle car. I like it.

As you know, I am a huge fan of these ol GM offerings. The new rigs, not so much. To bad about the no ride along, we can do that later. The ride quality of these is really insane. you are right about fixing all the body panels on this episode, we can see some of that frustration later on. I hope when the weather clears we get to see what the efforts yield. Be well.

I love those old trucks my dad had a 64 short bed and a 65 long bed. That’s what we grew up with and he drove the 65 until 2003 that’s when he finally bought a new truck, that’s a truck you cruise around on Sunday with that 193 in there just low and slow

One o my favorite body styles nice truck. 2 wheel drives go down and 4 wheel drive trucks stay the same or go up! That is a really nice truck.I had a 65 C20 camper special. Had to sell it when the wife lost her job. I bought it after the original owner passed. California truck. Still had the build sheet in it. Zero rust. I lived in Stockton and the truck was built in Fremont CA about 80 miles from where I lived. It had a V8 283.

Hi Mortske, don't let them haters get on you. You gotta a lotta friends out here in the You Tube world. I thought it was interesting the brake box proclaimed the shoes "asbestos free". Maybe Chinese brakes always had asbestos and now it's like something new. I remember back in the 70's we used to just "hold your breath" when you're taking those shoes off or air blowing the dust around. Oh, the good ole days when safety was #3.

After 13 years of living in SD I can count on one hand how many guys I ran across that were into lowering a truck. Mortske, you my friend are most assuredly in the minority out in that country. Me being a Cali guy, I am in full agreement with you! There are more than enough lifted trucks with Busch Light cans in the back driven by fellas wearing Pit Vipers out there in. Keep helping offset the trend!!

Great job on this truck, the hubcaps with white wheels look awesome. One thing I’d do is try pulling the grille out so it’s flush again.

Funny, Mortske say's, "It doesn't really matter what size 6 cylinder it is" Until he finds out it's a 194 cu in. Hey, that's still a 3.2 L not bad. My father had one in his 1967 4 door Chevelle. They don't call it a Chevrolet Turbo-"Thrift" engine for no reason and the 194 was the "High Thrift" Straight 6 are one of my favorite engines.

Personally, I wouldn't add a chrome bumper and grill. I would pull the dent out of the grill then paint both the same color as the wheels to match. That would look great on this truck!! Cool truck Mortske!!
