Timmy Hardaway just couldn't miss during the first half of this 1996 Playoffs opener. Zo and the rest of the Heat don't show up, so he manages to keep it close for some time. He seems to get tired during the second half though and doesn't manage to keep up the great shooting performance. April 26, 1996.

THE NBA IN THE 90s WAS WAY WAY WAY WAY BETTER THEN IT IS TODAY......THE STARS WHERE JUST BETTER AND MORE WHALE ROUNDED PLAYERS AND THEY HAD THE OWN UNIQUE STYLE OF PLAY and they had pure game.............players today are SOFT WEIRD AND THEY DONT HAVE GAME LIKE THE 90s players..........

The Killer Crossover. I hated Tim back in the days against my Knicks. But you have to respect his game he was a force to be reckoned with.

I grew up watching the Knicks-Heat playoffs for 4 straight seasons. There's no player I feared more coming off a screen and shooting from the top of the key than Tim. Not even Reggie or MJ.

Amen. I grew watching those battles to being a Heat fan.

1:26 that's not the first time he's done that to MJ. Hardaway used to jump a casual dribble hitting the floor before it got back to the players hand all the time
@timhoward5
@timhoward5 Год назад
Of course, Tim does that all the time. Jordan can easily take on Mike with the handles. Tim is from Chicago,, and they used to play a lot back in the days during Jordan's athletic prime off the court.

I remember this game. The Heat were coming off a 7-game war with the Knicks. And Chicago was well rested.

Ozark Le this was game 1 of the 1996 first round series. What you're talking about was 1997

Hardaway came to the east and had to face Jordan in the playoffs he was tough but not tougher than Jordan, Riley thought he could pull a upset
@timhoward5
@timhoward5 Год назад
Hardaway always played against Jordan during those prime years when Tim was still in Chicago off the court. Of course, Riley always thinks he can beat any team that he faces that's the mindset of great coaches Pat Riley legendary top 10. Jordan will tell you his toughest match up outside the Pistons was Pat Riley teams Knicks/Heat.

VERY. Him being a better ball handler than Michael Jordan, he easily stold Jordan's ball on a regular.

Him being a better ball handler than Jordan, he always easily strip the ball from MJ. Plus they played a lot of off court hoops in the early days when Hardaway was still in Chicago and Jordan was at his prime athletically.
