But he keeps doing this, episode after episode. Not to mention these two hate each other. I think that hate is what drives them to come back, and I think Tim knows how much Gregg hates his filibustering.
i have no references for this so i may have dreamt it but i swear he was asked this on his podcast and said he had reading troubles as a kid and even though he pretty much grew out of it, it's still a part of his brain he can tap into.
When people talk like this in real life its irritating and you get impatient because it takes them 10 minutes to make their statement, but otherwise its fun to laugh at people with disabilities.
They took it out because it would make him look like a cou... like a traitor to our Trump... to our countr... to our presindent... to Trump... too our country.... a trailer... a *traitor*.
One of my favorite gags from the Oscar specials is when he whips out the Silmarillion and flawlessly reads out the names of a bunch of Elves and Numenorans, from the "notes on pronunciation" appendix
The joke isn't just that he can't read. It's also that he doesn't show up prepared for a 5-10 minute review show where all he has to do is know a few names and he doesn't know any 😂
Tim reading out “Gilles Paquet Brenner” with utter disdain and then eventually saying we’re going to have to live with that one once he gives up on trying to pronounce it might the best moment in the show for me
