56 years old and already suffering from osteoarthritis in my hands so definitely going to purchase these new ones. Thanks for thinking of us who have trouble with regular scissors. Kudos to Tonic as well for listening to your suggestions. ❤❤❤.
Good overview on the scissors, Tim. Thank you, too, for encouraging folks to think about their comments on social media. Positivity is key in our world.
As a jewellery maker I am used to pliers that have springs to keep the blades open, reducing hand fatigue. These will be amazing to use . I have large hands for a woman and I find a lot of scissors are not comfortable for my hands , they pinch me. Tthe loops are too tiny for all of my fingers to fit. Thanks for pursuing the design of these. I love my Tonic/Tim Holtz tools.
Great product..I'm so looking forward to getting these as I get so much pain in my hands & fingers ....Thankyou Tim for getting these made & Mario for your ever smiling face...❤❤
I wasn't planning on buying these but watching the live and comparing your "feel" for your spring loaded fussing cutting scissors to the ones I actually have I believe I will be buying the new ones. You pointed out things that I didn't realize I didn't like about mine that I had never thought about. Awesome work and thanks to Tonic for creating your ideas!
Love, love my Tim Holtz + Tonic Scissors... They are a Def must have in my Art 🎨 Room & Sewing Room... Thx guy's... 🌹 Loved the video 📹... Sincerely sincere Miss Judith ❤ ✨🌹... Xx 🌹
I just got my small ones yesterday and I love them. That latch closure is what sold me--I always hated the middle latch bc it falls back down. This one is amazing!! 😍
Tim is so great at explaining things. Tim is a natural at teaching and explaining things and makes them so easy to understand. Even though I didn't think I needed new scissors, Tim's crafting tools are always so high quality and well thought out, that now I might "spring" for some little recoil scissors!
Just had to order these as soon as i saw them! Pain from the arthritis in my fingers and thumbs puts me off crafting because i just know its gonna hurt..thankyou for thinking of us old hens (54 ) with rickety joints..😊
Thank you so much for the details on your scissors! As a crafty engineer, I appreciate how things are designed. And as someone with thumb issues who does fussy cut, I appreciate that you came out with the recoil scissors and put thought into the handle design. PS. I cut all kinds of adhesive stuff up to 3D glue dots with ease and then clean up is easy.
Perfect timing! I’ve recently had a right thumb injury and have been shopping for a spring scissor so I can still craft comfortably! Thank you thank you thank you for your well thought out products! I agree, no fly away pinkies. 😂
Your candour as a creative is so refreshing and Mario is just the best 😂. I have your left handed scissors and my absolute faves are the serrated edge cause I can’t cut a straight line even if my life depended on it BUT now I can as something about the serrated edge just keeps that paper in place! I’m looking forward to these new addition to the range as I sometimes experience fatigue in my hands and can relate to the comments posted below. Well done
Hi Tim and Mario, Thank you for sharing the details of your new line of scissors with Tonic. The fact that you spoke for an hour about the scissors and the ones that have been released, says alot about you as a designer and a maker. You share everything about it from your thought process to the final detail of adding the spring. Many don't do this and just stick with the basics but you put everything into it and it is so evident that you take pride in everything you design. It matters to you and this makes a difference to us. I have loved everything Tim Holtz and I know I will love this as well 💜. Congratulations 🎊 Much love and appreciation from Malaysia
Thanks for taking time out of your Saturday to share this info about scissors.💕 I didn’t know the Haberdashery scissors were for fabric! (Maybe the measuring tape on the tin should have given me a clue)🤣 And welcome to the world of fussy cutting for relaxation!
I love to fussy-cut. So happy you can get into it, too! I'm proud of your brand scissors that I have. And the picture of all those scissors together Is perfectly lovely!
I brought the sissors thinking i didnt need the snips having not long brought a couple from another brand was happy with them. Next pay i am getting the snips as i LOVE the sissors. I have been wanting a big pair and was going to get your other ones but glad i left it - i have arthritic hands and they are perfect - thank you for your amazing products ❤
Tim, Great scissor choices is important. thank you for bring these to us. I love fussy cutting and watching tv. Nope, I haven't cut a nail off or anything yet. LOL
What a great explanation of all the scissors. They are all so well made and as usual every detail is thought out, including packaging. I have to get the new recoil ones - especially the smaller ones. I can't wait to fussy cut with them. Thanks for the fun demo.
So excited to try these. I typically love scissors with a spring but I think like always you’ve made some improvements on what’s out in the market. Thanks for a great demo ❤
Hi Tim. I enjoyed your video. But hey which video of yours don’t I like. I love them all. Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks. Checking out these scissors. I gotta get me a pair of those. Congrats Tim! Love new makes. Love celebrating it all
Sorry i miss the show but i just finish the record and i love them and maybe i will get first the fussy one and when i have money i will get the other one. Thanks to you Tim for explain for us
I never knew this about scissors 😮I’m so new to making cards, so this is really helpful. ❤Thank you. I’ll definitely be getting a pair of your scissors ✂️
Thanks for the advice on the serrated shears! I had no idea 🤷🏻♂️ I could just turn over the shears to cut without the serrated blade marks when cutting. I just now turned the shears over and, Voila!, no serrated marks! 😅
I love these new coil scissors. I bought the small ones. They remind me of my garden snips so I’m used to handles like them and find them really easy to use !!
Thank you so much for clarifying the details about the scissors. It always is very welcome, and appreciated!, when you take us along and explain. So Thank you. I ordered them both, cause I love your scissors, and am a fan of them since the beginning. I recently said goodbye to my red handle one's 😢 but welcomed the black handle ones with a big smile. So.... No need to say, that I got older...... So yeah, spring loaded scissors.... I'm in!
I have used spring scissors for years when fussy cutting. There is much less fatigue in my hand. Unfortunately I have broken the latch on several pairs. Looking forward to trying out this type of latch and trying the improved hand grip too.
It tickled me to see your metamorphosis into a fussy cutter....A Fussy Cutter is Born! I don't fussy cut because I find it to be so awkward and flatout unenjoyable, and I couldn't find scissors that improved the issue. Now there may be an answer. Maybe ANOTHER fussy cutter will be born.🙂 I need to give your recoil scissors a try. Your attention to the little details of your products does not go unnoticed.🤗❤ Thank you for keeping us inspired.
I ordered mine and they are arriving soon. My Holtz scissors are so great, so want them all! Makes me think Tim should design garden pruning shears. No one ever gets them 100% right. I always pick up some nuggets of info from these demos.
I have basal thumb pain occasionally. Sometimes it's so severe, I don't want to craft at all. Which of these scissors would be most comfortable for me to use?
Those fussy cutting scissors look awesome!! Maybe if I get them I’ll like fussy cutting too 😂 But even more importantly, what’s going on with your ruler? I can’t find it anywhere anymore and I literally just bought the last three that Ranger had in stock because I simply can’t be without them! Serious question.
