Everyone has been complaining that Bucks, Knicks, and Celtics coaches did not take timeouts against Miami. So I would think it is obvious by now, that these people understand that grabbing a timeout helps the Heat as Spo is better. Spo + Butler will come out on top more times than not if they have time to plain. Add all the outspoken veterans on the Heat team....well, understand that a set offensive play will be countered better by Heat, and not only that, a counter offensive play w/ outlet or steal is possible. Best way to beat the Heat is w/ fast pace where they do not have a chance to set up their zone or defensive schemes.

What-a-steal on the road! 💪 Coach Erik Spoelstra and the Heat are really good in adjusting things. Not to discredit Jimmy but Bam should be the highlighted headliner. He’s done his part these past 2 games!!! And huge adjustment by putting K Love in the line up. His rebounding, size and stretching the floor will come up big this whole series.

One thing I will say about the Heat is they never take their foot off the gas, they grind and outwork the opposing team even if the other team is/should be better it's pretty impressive.

The only way to beat the nuggets is to play joker straight up. Doubling is the wrong idea cuz he going to get his regardless. Once those other guys get rolling its a wrap. They have a balance team that being said if Nikola has 10+ assists 9/10 your loosing that game. Let him cook and live with the results. Kcp, Aaron gordon and MPJ killing you is unacceptable

He had Vincent on him bringing the ball up. I don't know why he even asked for a screen. He should've just asked for a clear out. Why would you elect for a screen where bigger Jimmy Butler might (and does) switch and you already have the smaller defender on you.

You can't stop Jokic. He is a top 20 player all time but what you can do is stop the role players around him and thats what the Heat did. You just got to live with Jokic scoring 40+ on you. You can't live with Murray scoring 27, Gordon scoring 20 and KCP and also Porter JR going off. You can't sacrifice and compromise your defense to stop 1 guy. Lakers did that and got swept

There’s a couple of calls that ref gave to Miami that help alot in the 4th quarter but this is denver fault

Reason Nuggets Lost game 2 1) No plan B: if your main man that supplies your ammo is being neutralized then have a 2nd man who takes on that job (Jamal is supposed to be a point guard by default, let him pass the ball and shoot less) and make the main man (Joker) a sharp shooter/scorer 2) Too many unchallenged 3 pointers: Heat players were shooting 3 pointers at will and completely wide open, Nuggets didn't even try to move closer to challenge those shots 3) Too many missed shots by the Nuggets 4) Not enough pressure under the glass by the Nuggets Joker was playing ALONE against the Heat, the rest of the Nuggets players were frozen today😢 You can not win a game if your teammates are not involved and not scoring😢.Joker had to carry the game on his shoulders from the 2nd quarter onward, he scored almost half of the Nuggets total points!.Even so it shows Joker's resolve and greatness when the Heat didn't have an easy game vs a 1 man team 😂😂😂😂 I don't include Murray because he was supposed to score in the 2 digits area which he didn't tonight, Joker was the only one scoring and keeping the Heat within a 11 points reach!

Heat win 1 game and suddenly they're going to win. Denver has even said this THE ENTIRE TIME, that this is going to be a heavy series, and not an easy one. They've also mentioned how badly they've played, and yet they only lost by 3. Everyone here acting like this was a blowout. Jokic had 41. Admittedly, not even his best game (which is weird to say when someone scores 41 on over 50% shooting). Truly fans and just life in general has become so reactionary. Same with analyst. Jamal makes that shot 50% of the time. It was an okay look, and frankly had they taken a time out, Miami probably would have fouled and then ran the clock. It is what it is.

Why didn't he call a timeout?

Some title that is. They lose their first game after winning 6 in a row. This will humble them. I would have called TO & drew up a play for the man that can shoot at any angle in crunch time.

Hey "Legs", how about Jamal Murray carrying the ball to sort of brake away from Jimmy first? I'm glad Jimmy still managed to affect the shot (so I think) and thus saved his backside. With 5 seconds on the clock and Jokić in front of him in the preceding play Jimmy had gone for a three-pointer instead of a simplier shot, a pull-up two (definitely his forte!) or a drive where he could've been fouled and sent to FT-line. That was silly, no big in the NBA except for Evan Mobley can withstand an attacking wing in such situations, Jimmy could've had his way with Jokić whichever way he'd wanted there and the cushion would've been 5 or 4.

Should've called a time-out. Period. 😢

Denver is better they really just need to keep their foot on the gas. Heat are shooting 50 percent from 3 and win by three plus points taken from Denver and kcp foulling three point shooters for fun. Murray and mpj and kcp were awful and the heat barely won. I'm sticking with Denver.

I saw more ball movement in these clips from Miami than Boston did in the entire series. But in the words of the coach, we just didn't make enough 3s. Calling the NBA a make or miss league is in my opinion a copout for bad coaching based off misguided analytics.

Legler wrong on sweep, doubling down for Nuggets. He ignores - Heat let foot off the gas, let them come close in the last 2 minutes. Murray is clutch, made 2/3 3s. The issue was Jimmy's poor shot selection for his missed iso 3, which gave Nuggets a chance to tie- Jimmy needed a few screens, better tonight from his 2s.

I'm going to say THIS the Nuggets played the WORST game of their last 3 playoff series and LOST BY 3. Let that marinate for a moment. But RESPECT to Miami because they knew it was a must win and they got the "W". Now, its back to Miami Vice.
