Although it would be nice to have Tatum and brown in the same offensive actions, the Celtics don’t do Jaylen and Jayson pick and rolls because, since they are similar players in size and skill, their defenders would have no problem just outright switching. Once the defenders switch, you haven’t put the ball handler in a markedly better position. Teams screen to create a mismatch if the defense switches. The pick sets up a myriad of difficult situations if the defense doesn’t switch… counters to your counters
