I love this video so much. It is a lot of the techniques I am learning about in classes now, specifically hardwood silviculture and forest operations. I love that you saved this landowner from getting severely high graded--this is what I would love to do.

@@ChilcoteForestryServices I think the products issue is so big. We have research into new products that could be used but they haven't been adopted. Like tree biomass for energy production (sycamore coppice experiments are being done at my school for biomass production.) I think there is a shift in the industry happening right now where there are more people coming into it with different perspectives on what forestry should look like and I think this will allow for some cool new advances in the near future. I see a lot of my friends in school now have a lot of varied interests in forestry.
