Today we delve into the serious modifications! If you want to jump to a section, the time markers are below:

Following our previous track days, we have figured out the strengths and weaknesses of the A90 Supra platform and purchased the bits that we need for part 1 of our upgrades.
Those parts are:
SPL front lower control arms (so we can get some camber up front).
SPL rear traction arms with elliptical lockout.
SPL rear toe arms
HKS Hipermax height adjustable springs
ECUTek tune (Visconti stage 1, 17psi tune)
PWR Intercooler heat exchanger upgrade
We run through the installation process and share our results on the dyno and on track!

These relatively high horsepower, high strung and tightly packaged cars are like modern day laptops, many have cooling systems inadequate to enable consistent perpetual peak performance. As shown here, simply upgrading to a much more capable cooling system shaves so much laptime and adds so much more reliability and potential longevity.

The stock cooling on the Supra is really not bad at stock power levels you can do at least 3-5 laps without power loss but ofcourse once your start putting more bosst and making more power then stock the cooling have to be upgraded.

Up front you changed the heat exchanger...the air to water intercooler is actually located inside the intake manifold. Would be interested to hear if you saw an improvement on the track with the upgraded heat exchanger. I have the HKS springs on my Supra and love them...thanks for the video and cheers from the states.

A downpipe, upgraded intercooler and tune ? And only 390? You should be making around 450 with that setup.

quick question street fx, did the mods help a ton with the handling and steering feel? I test drove one and I felt that it felt a little too overboosted electronically and not a whole lot of connectedness. did the mods help? I have a type r and love it but still want a supra and this will help my decision

There's one on our Facebook for "streetfx garage", but it's only been out for 3 laps since it was built. Need to chase a cooling system flaw which is seeing it get hot after 3 laps. As a reference though- in those 3 laps we managed to get a 57.9s sprint at that same track. With over 750hp at the wheels, it should give you an idea how good the a90 supra is :)

@@markt6095 Yeah the a90 supra definitely has alot of potential. I honestly expected the a80 to be a bit closer though especially with that power level

The a90 is still setup for drag, so would need a more aggressive wheel alignment to get close. Also, a 57 is actually a pretty quick time for that track.
