Man, honestly, this video could have been 20min long. It's not that I've reduced attention span, it's that I'm sick of 20min videos with 1min worth of knowledge and 19min of filling the gap with already heard stuff. Thank you.

I like the ideas in this video since I keep struggling with reducing the negative ways of using my time because my strategy used to aim for 💯% change that's why it always fails because it is overwhelming and difficult to maintain for along time and some times unrealistic 😢 So thank you so much 😊 *And until now the editing of this video is the best* keep going 🎉

So happy you liked the video. I hope you find it useful when you are implementing it. And many thanks for the feedback about editing. Unfortunately, the editing format of the previous two videos was not good and the retention of those videos was really bad. *Many thanks for giving feedback. It helps me to improve the quality of the video.*

Genius idea. Gonna try it right now. Thank you for such informative idea in a short form. Im gonna write it in my phone because it is always with me and at the end of the day I'll rewrite it in my journal
@DailyAtomicSteps
@DailyAtomicSteps Год назад
So happy to hear that. I hope you find it useful. I think if you want to write them down on your phone, you can use Google Sheets or Notion. They are free and you don't need to re-write them in your bullet journal. And also, you can calculate the negative % by using some formulas in Google Sheets (or Notion). And they will sync with other devices (such as your laptop) and you can track those numbers using different charts as well. BTW, many thanks for your comment. It's really encouraging. Glad you liked the video.

I've mentionned that u're not sharing shorts try to create shorts ..i've heard many youtubers talking about the effectiveness of shorts they'll help u growing up ur channel!
@DailyAtomicSteps
@DailyAtomicSteps Год назад
But uploading RU-vid shorts has some problems (in my opinion). Yes, I agree it increases the number of subscribers. But I'm afraid of a couple of things. I experienced this in another channel which is about my career (=programming). I got a lot of subscribers from shorts. But it was just the number! (BTW, I have almost quit that channel). I'm afraid of 3 things: 1- The people who watch RU-vid shorts and subscribe to the channel, because of RU-vid shorts are probably not going to watch the long-form content. Or at least, not a decent percentage of those people are gonna watch the long-form content as well. 2- When you set the End Screen of a RU-vid Long-Form Video to "best for the viewer", sometimes RU-vid suggests a short in the End Screen, which is a bad thing! I want RU-vid to suggest long-form content, not short-form! And so far, RU-vid doesn't have any feature to fix this issue. 3- RU-vid shorts, need a lot of effort as well. I think to myself, why not spend that time on long-form content? BTW, I don't know whether it's really a good thing to do or not! And whether I'm right or not. I just shared my thoughts. But I'm afraid of uploading shorts, because of the beforementioned reasons. BTW, thank you so much for being kind and giving feedback. I have noticed that you tried to give good feedback in recent videos, as well as the community section. And it really helps me. Not only it helps the channel, but also it encourages me. Because you see some people care. Many thanks.

@@DailyAtomicSteps i agree with u 100% talking bout myself i'mn't a shorts person nd i've removed homepage from my computer's youtube page nd for my phone i'm using Yt gold which gives me the acess to remove shorts still struggling with homepage on my phone till now i've searched but till now there's no solution...it's good to see u taking care of the attention span for yourself nd your subscribers at the same time..good work needs time but it's always better than going with the flow! Now that i knew that u'r thinking in the quality more than quantity back on my work DON'T USE SHORTS!! *my pleasure..

You can share it from time to time I mean you don't have to focus on them but use it as a variation when you want to emphasis one idea 💡 Without needing long video or as a reminder of certain info
@DailyAtomicSteps

@@RJ02093 I didn't know that you can hide RU-vid Home! That was very valuable info. for me. Because it helps to have less distraction (at least when I want to work and need youtube to search for something). Many thanks.

@@selome1753 I agree. But I'm afraid of some other aspects that can (potentially) have negative effects. But maybe I'm gonna try it in the future.

No. This tracking should be done at last for a couple of days. It can not be replaced with Bullet Journal.

Great idea. How did you stop yourself shifting the line between good / bad to reduce the bad time wastage?
@DailyAtomicSteps
@DailyAtomicSteps Год назад
Thank you. I didn't get the second part of your comment: I mean this part: "How did you stop yourself shifting the line between good / bad to reduce the bad time wastage?" What do you mean?
@barryb2704
@barryb2704 Год назад
@@DailyAtomicSteps Another to say it would be, how did you keep yourself consistent on what is good / bad? i.e. stopping the changing the definition of good/bad to reduce the bad.
@DailyAtomicSteps
@DailyAtomicSteps Год назад
@@barryb2704 If I got you correctly, you mean how do I define positive for myself? Answer (for me): If a task is along my goals, it's positive. Maybe you argue "What about the hobbies?" Then I would say: In my opinion, if the hobby is pre-planned (& reasonable) it would be neutral for me. But some other things & temptations, without any pre-plan, would be a negative one.
