The part that bothers me about this and the scenes from the movies (e.g. salvation) where terminators drop en-mass is that it goes against the lore. Terminators are autonomous thinking machines that would remain dangerous long after skynet was destroyed.
Yeah that bugs me too. It implies that Skynet is literally in control of everything though that could explain why Skynet couldn't win in the end. It simply spread itself too thin.
In the Terminator 2 novelization, it mentions that the bulk of Skynet’s army stopped working when Skynet was destroyed. Big BUT here, there were still autonomous units that were active and needed to be dealt with.
We can Assume that a majority of the terminators that were set "read only" were the ones connected to skynet so they sll shut down immediately while the ones that were taken off that were fully autonomous so they were dealt during clean up.
Actually Skynet has good reasons to not rely on fully autonomous drones. The problem being, that the goals of neural network inside the drones might become misaligned from the goals of Skynet over time. So it would make sense for Skynet to have a killswitch installed in the drones, in case a drone is disconnected from the Skynets direct permission. Some tasks may require a certain degree of independence of the drones though (drones traveling back in time for example), which would explain why some drones still remained active after the defeat of Skynet. So in my opinion, this makes the scenario even more realistic.

I know this is Terminator Resistance. Has lots of potential even if a little clunky in some parts it sure does offer more of the universe than some movies. If this could be made in the same manner of even the older Modern Warfare series or new ones. It has the potential to be a major winner. Hmm. Someone should make a mod of a existing game and make this.
I want to get this game so bad because I have always been a Terminator fan since my teenage years and I loved Arnold with his acting role in all the movies both past and present

Сюжета бы побольше, побольше историй, побольше крупных сражений. Так же можно было расширить историю терминатора лазутчика, всего одна миссия, это очень мало, можно было сделать еще миссию по захвату центра города (когда лазутчик терминатор передал ложный приказ отключить защитную систему повстанцев), по уничтожению южного дивизиона Байрон, миссию по захвату доктора Мак. По сюжету, во всех этих миссиях победили машины и успех игрока не влиял бы на общий сюжет. Классная игра, но мало.
This game is awesome 👏! So we were the guy that was behind John at the beginning of t2 . So awesome how this game connects everything from the first two terminator movies together .

MMO worlds.. the resistance battling it out with 'smart' Skynet machines that are playable as people.. infiltrators infiltrating human resistance clans / groups.. the emergence of new terminators and prototypes!! They can make maps like in Ark.. surely they can do the same in the 'future war'!! I know the fans have craved something like this for a while.. it can be done.. but no one has done it.. it is such a waste of wonderful potential!!
i really like this game, and the expansion even more (very clever ending). gameplay isn't the best and it's not grimdark enough for me. But it never really gave me the feeling to fight in a post-nuclear hell with scarce ressources, radiation (even Terminator Future Shock from the 90s had this, which i found a great game great back then, being 13 years old) and the overall feeling of mankind on the brink of total extinction. It should have had more horror atmosphere than plain shooting action.
That's an issue that has bothered me about the movie franchise also. The Terminators don't seem to fight dirty enough (they obviously can produce mini reactors/nukes, drones, AI enhanced viruses, are radiation poisoning resistant etc.) and also they seem somewhat too centralised, which makes one wonder what's the situation outside USA. Maybe they have strict UN rules of engagement built in? :)

@@Mello_84 the soundtrack was pretty good mostly, but there were a few that stood out as not congruent. The annihilation line dlc improved on that alot

Thats interesting, you would need a nuke to generate a powerful pulse. Techcom would need to know where to find them. The machine might have some kind of protection against it.
@@scottjgray83 my point was that if in The movie Matrix those high advanced machines are disabled by an EMP pulse then why in the Terminator movies they are not vulnerable to an EMP pulse. Kind of illogical but it's just me .
@@hadryantar yeah I agree they should be. In one of the old comics, the time displacement equipment causes a huge EMP that temporarily disabled the machines within a certain distance, I know its probably not cannon but the old comics were better and felt like proper terminator stories unlike the newer films.

As cool as lasers are, they actually put you at a tactical disadvantage. Sometimes, the only thing you've got going for yourself is the enemy doesn't know exactly where you physically are. A laser follows right back to your exact position. At the least, you couldn't stop moving. As for this game not referencing terminator 3, well...it does, actually. T3 is when the bombs fell. In this game, that has already happened so...there's your t3 reference.
The best weapon for this part is the 3th generation of the plasma machine gun of the infiltrator unit, it no have cooldown time(instead have magazine), put chips to upgrade magazine size and damage, the rest is enjoy killng terminators.

I have the game but I'm stuck at the entry of the hospital i have to deal with those hedgehogs coming out of the ground is die all the time and have given up it's dope that i get to see what's after thanks Drunk ewok
use the sound device grenade that will kill the hedgehogs so they dont come after you, or once they pop up out of the ground, aim for the red eyes to kill them, even the m16 can kill them. Hope that helps you past it.
it generally feels like you are a little overpowered, even at harder difficulties. This becomes more pronounced as the game progressed from the mid to late stages, with the final 2 or 3 sections feeling like are as unstoppable as any terminator. The first half of the game is incredibly tense though, where you definitely feel the instinct to evade and hide. once mission in particular really gets the blood pumping at some points. but yeah, once you get your first plasma weapons the game begins to lose that. it makes up for it by becoming a solid action shooter with amazing setting and sound design, but if you are looking for more of a cat and mouse survival game then this isn't it.
Because holly woke weird is retarded they proved this time and time again when they chose to side line the war in many ways of stupid chose 1 they chose to side line the future war story after terminator 2 2 they chose to side line the future war story after salvation T4 of continuation 3 it all became clear when they made Geneshit of throwing the future war and John and the terminator in the garbage when deleting the original movie timeline we been watching and throwing John into a time meat grinder 4 terminator dark shit yeah 5 minutes in I don’t even need to touch or explain that dark crap Yeah it’s fair to say they never gave a F and more so after T4 out of all of this I would have still settled for 2 because atleast salvation was pushing us towards the future war when they chose to side line the future story after T4 that’s when I was done with terminator franchise
awful game, but good ideas exist in it.. its a shame the game feels so clunky and unpolished because a terminator game with an actual budget would he amazing
I want to believe in this project, but I have been burned too many times by Terminator games. I shall reserve my judgement until more comes out. It definitely has to look better than an Xbox 360 game. Which it does, but also doesn't. It has a metric shitton of potential. Just reserving my opinion in regards to nostalgia and what this game could be. That's all. I really, really want it to be good. I really do. I just can't take much more disappointment. It's too hard at this stage of things.
Honestly, for a game that came out in the last 10 years, this was kinda shit story. So much more work could been done, so much more should have been added to actually make it look like a war and not some Nintendo 3ds fight scene.
When you play Alien Isolation, no other game seems to be even close to that perfection imersive and action game all along science fiction, horror and fear. This game here for me, is so boring, so bad made....Damm i think a baby would play for 2 minutes than took away the console.
