I dont overthink it. I send 99% of cards the lowest level and if I get a fair upcharge for the grade then I pay it.

Great video as always! How do you typically decide to price your cards? At comp? A little above comp and allow offers?

I list most of my cards as Buy It Now or Best Offer, and I tend to list them a little above recent comps (unless I see it's a relatively new release and I can tell the prices are dropping fast). I've had much better success pricing above comps and accepting offers than I have listing as Buy It Now around current comps-people seem to prefer the negotiation.

@@everycardastory makes sense thanks! Another question is how do you handle offers? Do you set a minimum offer amount? I get so many crazy lowball requests at times so wondering if I should start setting a minimum offer amount.

@@Happylights0828 Sometimes I forget, but yes-that's one of my favorite features because it just saves you so much time dealing with all the offers that are just silly. I usually set my minimum offer amount a bit lower than I am willing to go, as I expect I can probably negotiate and get it up to where I want to be.

what do you think about these Panini National VIP cards? They look great but i dont know if they hold value or grade well. I couldnt resist ordering an Aaron Rodgers green cracked ice /99

So from what I can tell, they don't hold a ton of value long term. That being said, I do think some of them are pretty sharp looking. I sold a 2023 National Red Sparkle Jerry Rice the other week for a nice little profit (I like targeting color matches for this kinda thing) and I did pick up a few Caitlin Clark's from this year to try as well.

Pro tip. Stay away from select

Appreciate the tip. Any particular reason?

@@everycardastorythe value drops drastically. Very high pop. Hardcore collectors aren’t chasing it. Unless it’s a numbered parallel short print. Look at Prizm 10 rookies , vs any other set and you’ll have your answer.

@@realaudioreviews Gotcha. Appreciate the tips for sure, and agree it's best to target numbered parallel/short print stuff just in general as they'll hold value better (high pop kinda just hits on all modern major releases...Prizm probably being the worst based on grading data I've seen). That being said, I don't mind dropping prices if the prices of the raw drops in proportion and the margins are still there. I think Select still has a place (just not at the high end). Example: I did _really_ well grading and selling Chet Holmgren Blue Ice cards last year-89% margin across all the ones I graded. And while my select Wemby margins (+14%) have been disappointing (in no small part due to me buying too early), other players (Brandon Miller +82%, Cam Whitmore +66%) are selling well for me.
