What bugs me is that british people do not learn british history. It was the british crusade against slavery that ended slavery across the globe. Up until then, slavery was the norm and wasn't viewed as immoral seen as every race across every nation has had slaves since the dawn of civilisation. The word slave derives from slav cos of the vast number of slavic people that were taken as slaves, and the slavic peoples were predominantly eastern european = white. It was the weaker people that were enslaved by the stronger people, had nothing to do with the colour of ur skin. And then it became economic as it generated vast amounts of wealth, especially for the african ruling elite and asritocrats who captured and sold their own people into slavery! Believe it or not, but africa had its own empires, we didn't just go in there and steal these people. The nazis trying to genocide the jews is in more recent history then slavery but u don't see the jewish people making so much noise and causing division like the black community...or should i say the leaders of these black communities. Slavery as been a part of ALL human existence for thousands of years and it was thanks to the british, that it ended. And it has only been seen as immoral for the past few hundred years, which is nothing in comparison to how long we have been around for. This is what people should be talking about and teaching in schools instead of trying to indoctrinate our kids with the white privilege and we need to have white guilt bullshit!
