My koi have been having a field day with my Lillie's, so it was time to vacuum the pond, featuring a pair of socks 😁

I use half a leg of a pair of tights and sometimes double them up and use a cable tie. I once used a pair of my missus's knickers on Allestree Lake, it was like spring water in the morning.

I also used a stainless steel anti-splatter guard from a frying pan or pair of tights before I had the drum filter

Everyone has a better vac than I have you will see in my Friday video we have had some wet days down hear this week ponds still over 20 but could creep under if we don't get some nice days over the weekend the old sock is a good idea her in doors is always on the bash about all the odd ones that turn up

Hi Graeme, it's an Oase pontec pondomatic, it's there mid range I think, it sucks until the chamber is full, stops and empties, then starts again automatically, its not as fast as the double chamber models which have a continuous suction but there much more expensive. I've been happy with it so far and it does have good reviews. Hope that helps. Regards Andy

Just a question mate... Not knocking it... But what's your reasoning for hoovering a pond if you've got a bottom drain.... Apologies if I've missed a trick lol

Hi mate, the reason I Hoover is, in the summer I have a lilly basket with stones to weight it down and the little buggers like to dig them out, plus the bottom drain doesn't completely clean the pond especially at the edges. Regards Andy 👍
