@@user-rp8hq7ep1k That was actually the most common name for Kings of Prussia: There were 4 Rulers called Frederick Wilhelm, three were called Frederick and two were called Wiliam (Wilhelm).
Prussia was a country that was completely erased from the map by Nazis and Communists. Part of the territory of Prussia became part of modern united Germany but the Eastern half of it was annexed by Poland and Russia. The population was either murdered or expelled in one of the lessor known tragedies of WW2.

@@renatocampos3114 Nonsense, the common folk of Prussia were the original Baltic Prussians. Only the nobility came from outside factions. The Papacy of the 17th century was incredibly corrupt burning people as witches and wiping out the original mother culture. The 30 years war was a horror nearly equal to WW2. Nazism arose out of Bavaria and Austria not Prussia. The territory of Selesia and Pomerania never had historical Polish populations before the great forced migrations in the aftermath of WW2. The redrawing of those borders can be somewhat justified but nothing justifies the destruction Königsberg now called Kaliningrad because it was stolen by the Russians.

@@Novusod I agree with most of what you said but Königsberg was not "stolen" by the Russians. I would be perfectly happy if Prussia still existed today because first of all I am not a Pole so I cannot say that I was sympathetic when Poland came back during the napoleonic wars and if world war 2 was civilised I wouldn't mind again if Poland disappeared from the map entirely. You might argue that you weren't the one that started both world wars but neither did Prussia (yes they basically started world war 1 but they were under that bastard called the Kaiser). When Poland first disappeared from the map I would argue that it had made herself too many enemies that were all her neighbours, the Russians didn't have Stalin then (which I get why you hate him I can't argue with that) their leader was Catherine the great who was born Prussian and I would guess that she didn't want to attack her homeland so she said to split Poland between them and the Austrians which I can offer no excuse. Every country has inflicted damage on another country. I'm sure Poland did many bad things in the past and Prussia as well and France, the UK the U.S but they don't all deserve to disappear from the map.
The Allied powers constantly feared that Germany in one way or another would become powerful again. Allied law number 46 abolished the Prussian state. The reasoning was said to be that Prussia was the German heart of militarism. The Allied powers knew what they were doing.
Blame the disgusting Nazis for that, along a few other incompetent or corrupt leaders. It is a tragedy what happened to them along with Germany in general.

Yes he called the English mad as march-hares in that interview but what is often forgotten is that he followed up by saying: "What has come over you that you are so completely given over to suspicions quite unworthy of a great nation? What more can I do than I have done?" And: "I am a friend of England, but you make things difficult for me. My task is not of the easiest. The point being that the Kaiser was the one seeking friendly relations with Britain but they rebuked him because they were overcome with the fear that they were going to be surpassed as the super-power of the world.

Beautiful, but the regal title König von Pruessen was not used by Hohenzollerns before 1772. The correct title is König in Pruessen given by Emperor Leopold I to Friedrich I, by his assistence to the Empire in the Spanish Succession Question and War. The Holy Roman Emperor, recognised the title King in Prussia, but it was altered by Friedrich II, the Great in 1772, who became König von Preussen king of Prussia, in spite of the use the latin title Borussorum Rex in coins.

I hope you know that this melody is or has been used by many people in this way or another. The melody was composed by a Frenchman for the then French king. The British use this as their national anthem, as do many other countries.

You made one mistake since Friedrich Wilhelm all rulers were Konig in Preussen cause western part of that province belonged to Poland The Great Friedrich became first Konig VON Preussen just in 1772- after first partition of Poland and incorporation of entire Prussia into Prussian Kingdom..
You could start with Teutonic Order, Albrecht Hohenzollern after all was Grand Master of Teutonic Order before claiming the title duke of Prussia. Duchy of Prussia is the same state as former state of Teutonic Order, only name and form of government changed.
Beg pardon.but the title was "Markgraf (Marques) of Brandenburg, not "Herzog" (Duke). This up to Friedrich I. ,who became King IN Prussia, not OF Prussia. Because at this time Prussia ,unlike the Mark Brandenburg, was a territory that did not belong to the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation. And never did, as long as the HREGN existet. The (unwritten) constitution of the Empire did not allow a second king in Germany. With the decline of the Empire the Kings in Prussia "forgot" about this und practically included the Brandenburg-Territory in their Kingdom. Complicated,eh?
In 14th century the Markgraf of Brandenburg got the before unknown title of Kurfürst/elector. As far as i know, inside of Prussia, but outside of HRE, from 1701-1806 the prussian kings called them ,König in Preußen' not ,König von Preußen' . To call yourself , king in....' was no Problem. And inside of the HRE, for all the time it existed, there was the ,Kingdom of Bohemia/ Böhmen', but in the later time the ,Roman Emperor' was also ,King of Bohemia'.
