Saw that. It was probably a watch in his possession at some point on consignment and he might have had a cronie sell it to that store. Since it was not reported stolen they bought it. Then he reports it later expecting them to give it to him.
@@candlercandoor someone took it to sell , to try and recoup some of the money he owed them. Some of the crap he came away with in that video , made me laugh . Making out he was the victim 😂
Don’t take his apology or his confession. Seriously, he did way more than you think and he is only trying to distract. This guy is a serious serious criminal.
@markreynolds9135 When it isn't your money or watches, the whole situation is funny. I remember the videos where people were going to their office to overpay for a watch, because they were on RU-vid. Everyone in that office was wearing a $75,000 watch, and they would flex it on camera. Also, Christian ran down to their office in Texas to do a collaboration. Now he is Mr. FBI. I think that is funny. He probably took down those videos.
This same sht happens every now and then with collector cars. CNC Motors in Orange County was a COMPLETE sht show a couple years ago, of the guy doing stuff like this but with exotic cars, and same thing, all came crashing down. Idiot sociopaths with crippling insecurity, so desperate for love and respect that they’ll screw everyone over including themselves, just to look and feel like a success to people who don’t even care and always smell the bullsht anyway. And they’re too dumb to understand even freshman year accounting, so they always get caught.
The first video I ever saw, when they were out spending over $10k for dinner while running a business that had very small margins, I knew they were an absolute scam. I also don’t believe Marco didn’t know, he was spending it just as fast. The next red flag was this “business”, spending millions, yet doing all their books on an excel spreadsheet??? lol. Follow that with these “investors”?? My God that just proves a fool and his money are soon parted. Who would have thought this was a business model worth investing in>?
It's the grifter culture. These people bet their life at every opportunity, and when they win big, they boast about it and then try to go bigger. Watch "Uncut Gems", maybe the best movie ever to showcase that insane culture. They all get what is coming to them, look at Trump!
What’s even sadder is the young men who were watching him thinking that’s possible and him giving them a false sense of hope. A false sense of reality.
How could anyone not see this guy was a fraud? I remember seeing a vanity video of his where he went to a gym to workout wearing an RM. That might have been the douchiest thing I've ever seen on RU-vid (and that's saying something!). There was always too much drama surrounding this guy for the line of business he was in. I want my watch dealers dull and boring - if I want drama I'll find it elsewhere.
The best part was his videos after he got exposed acting like he was going to recover from this and actually continue to sell watches 😂 , the ego on that little guy is unparalleled
*If you steal a $10k watch from one person and sell it for $12k to someone else, your profit may be $12k but you've stolen $22k. (Obtain property/money by Fraud x 2)
What is very amusing to me is seeing any dealer who ever did any business with Anthony are rushing to cover their arses and they are eating their own in the process. Also, what adds to the entertainment right now is the watch market is crashing and many dealers on youtube are laying people off while they deny business is bad. The luxury watch market is all first world problems and won't get any sympathy from anybody.
I can definitely guarantee EVERYONE in the grey market does what he did… only difference is that others do it to buy watches and flip then pay their clients late… he was just blowing the money…
Try G Shocks 😉 . Brilliant and if you don't go into the higher end stuff , then affordable . Seiko , Tissot , Hamilton , Longine , Citizen , Bulova , so many decent brands out there , that will last , but not get you murdered for wearing .
@@TheoandHarris yet Christian happily got drunk and giggled like a little teenage girl when sitting in their office, checking out all the expensive shit. Video doesn't lie, at least don't gaslight your audience
@@Dan-lq6dg because they were all over him when he was popular (and no, his channel was popular before they met with him, unlike what Michael is claiming) and only when TPG went downhill, they started telling stories about how bad he is, how cringy the meeting with him was etc. Revisionist history in its finest.
Yes and no, I think he had someone else sourcing the watches. Especially in the super high end stuff, the people who own those watches aren't frequently handling stuff like that p2p lol usually it is somebody they trust connecting and helping to move the piece.
@@NorthKoreanSimp Or maybe they were people that had similar tough pasts, and were giving him a chance. Farrer is a fucking scumbag. His day will come.
@@NorthKoreanSimpjust about to post that . He had guys like Roman Sharf vouching for him saying he was a standup guy . Then when it all went mad , he claimed he didn't have much dealing with him , then afterwards said Anthony owed him money as well . They are all dodgy gits .
While only making 500-2000 per deal , with all the wages and other overheads , plus lavish lifestyle in an expensive area . Made perfect sense he was a crook . But guys like Roman Sharf stood up for him and vouched for him , so others were fooled down the that alone . Now Romans lost half his guys as well . Karma .
that was def him hinting he wanted the Wahlberger to play him in his future screenplay "Timepieces to Hard Time; The Timepiece Gentleman's Rags to Riches and Back to Rags Story"
Timepiece gentleman but wearing a hoodie in his business photos, couldnt even bother to wear a suit. hilarious. im poor but if i was rich I would dodge this dude if I was looking for a watch.
Might be a good time to make people aware of his frauds and scams…. Not sure why that would be an issue at this point, all the more so since Farrer used a very social media centric approach to his thievery and lies 😅
The ponzi started in Dallas when Jimmy stated they needed to pay off the original owners of watches Anthony bought or sold off that still hadn't been paid as part of the "buyout".
@@alanross99I think it is more fraud in the ethical sense, but not the legal sense. Like you buy a datejust from some online listing. The seller doesn’t have it, but spends the quoted leadtime to acquire one to ship to you.
CONsignment is inherently risky for sellers unless you are dealing with the most trustworthy dealers. For 99% of sellers, consignment is not worth the risk. End the shady practice of consignment, and you significantly reduce your risk exposure.
Chrissy Christian, “the beta girl”, loved going to Texas to spend time with these guys…he idolized them. A simpleton will always be mesmerized by greed. Here’s looking at you Chrissy 😂
Imagine this! A Theo and Harris thumbnail image.... with a,....wait for it...Rolex Daytona image!....Hmmm...I absolutely love the T&H content...but the click bait element....well,.. it's startin' to feel like a "one trick pony".. c'mon Michael... you're better than that. Thanks for the content.. I do appreciate it all.
What human being, who has $300k to spend of furniture, would go to (let along spend all of that at) restoration hardware? Oh, wait, a lot of newly rich people w/ no taste whatsoever. He should have had me do his interior. For all I know, the check would have bounced. ALLEGEDLY.
I preferred the previous setup with the shelves behind them. That felt like a nice sized space whereas this feels like the cramped corner of a waiting room.
Is this why Paul Thorpe set up the Digital Watch Vault to check if your watch is stolen ? If you discover your watch is a stolen one now listed on DWV,what are you going to do ? Go to the Police and say I’m handing it back ? I assume the point is to check the watch on DWV before buying it. If you then discover it’s stolen on DWV,are you going to tell the Police the seller is selling stolen goods ? If the seller is selling stolen goods why didn’t they check the DWV before buying it ? Disclaimer : Other stolen watch platforms are available, but I can’t think of any ?
@PhilippTitus Marco was the legitimate guy who teamed up with a guy with a long criminal history. Why? I avoid those people. I don't become their partner.
I never thought about the tax implications. Since he took the money out of the business it can be counted as income. He should have left the money in the business account and then paid himself out monthly or quarterly as income.
Easy calc. Use an online calculator to figure out the monthly payment on a $450k Lambo (say), throw in $2k per month for insurance (say), throw in yearly maintenance. There you have the monthly cost of a Lambo. Now figure out how many 70k (say) watches at 5% commission you'd need to sell monthly for the car alone. Quickly become apparent that something smelled.
Archie luxury caught this about Anthony from day one. Plus a lot of this content is exactly what Paul Pluta said years ago. Love both contents but I'm pretty sure Christian listen to Archie because he say similar phrases. Great content fellas. Love the format.
Everyone with even the tiniest BS detector knew something was off almost from the day it started popping on youtube for Anthony. If you can do basic math you know you can not live a billionaire life with a millionaire income. Even if being generous in estimating the margins on the watches they sold, the income was never even close to covering the lifestyle spending Anthony had. Even if you did not factor in any running costs like rent, taxes, insurance and salaries for the employees the numbers did not add up at all.
@@queensbuilt-timewilltell8200 In Romans case I guess your BS detector can become a bit unreliable when you see the potential to make some money. In his defense you notice a point where Roman tries to avoid being seen with Anthony after the "marketing" stunt, but still wants to make money off of him. Paul Thorp almost sets of my BS detector because of how he sucks up to people with clout. There is BS artist inside Paul that he is barely managing to control I think. Paul sounds and feels like a shady character from a Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels type movie that is working hard to convince you he is legit despite all outward signals to the contrary.
The market is bad and he has been bullish taken too many watches with value plummeting like $20k/week, and he is spending like $50k/week. He is bankrupt, and unable to pay.
Anthony's confession video was done on purpose. He did it to start the clock on the statute of limitations. Once he let the cat out of the bag, and start paying people back just enough for them not to sue or press charges, he could then run the clock down on the statute of limitations and once the clock runs out, he can tell them to go fuck themselves on the remaining balance. He is smarter than people think.
No.. he's not smart but thinks he is which has been his downfall every time. If his crimes had a statute of limitations for 2 months, I would agree with you. But if he thought he could string people along for 5 years, which is the statute of limitations for wire fraud alone, he's more delusional than I thought 😂😂😂
lol that's now how statute of limitations work, you have no idea what you're talking about. for one, the statute of limitations for wire fraud is five years, and the clock starts when he committed the fraud, not when he posts a confession video.
As a former addict, sounds like he started using again. A few years back after the ankle bracelet came off, he identified as an addict in recovery, but began to drink again. While alcohol and opiate addictions are generally one or the other, if one is addicted to opiates and coke, drinking is a fast way to be vulnerable to relapse to your drug of choice Those of us in recovery do not drink or do any drugs. It’s also not uncommon to swap drug addiction with other lifestyle addictions. That said, when he started drinking is my guess to when he changed and dug a hole that he couldn’t get out of. As an addict, we come up with stupid excuses for our behavior. Me sharing this doesn’t excuse his behavior, but my thoughts on why everything began to go sideways once he went off parole.
That’s exactly what happened he was sober in Dallas and that’s when he was doing the best he ever had and the watch market was booming and he was sober …when he moved to la he fell of the wagon and tried to live up to a lifestyle he couldn’t afford and the watch market shit tanked like a Mf so ur right
Police dont care about 50,000 theft. It happend to me my business partner ripped me off but he stole 8,000,000 plus tax. He is literally crazy I feel bad he had a good thing going for him. He was buying cars, hotels, gambling etc
9 months ago these short sighted FOOLS thought Anthony could never pay this money back. Little did they know that all he has to do is sell 25,000 portraits while in jail.
I guess everyone associates Paul Thorpe to TPG's scheme. Anyone know how Thorpe conspired with TPG except for obviously trying to save Farrer's public image?
Honestly the watch community primarily you watch DEALERS on YT gave him legitimacy! I didn’t buy his fairy tail for a split second! Dude was/is a 💯% horrible (thank god) CONMAN!!!
Was his “winning smile” paid for? It’s like pulling 🦷🦷 to get the absolute truth! (New to this story…😡). We’ve all been victims on some level; doesn’t feel good!😢
Do you guys think he purposely went online and admitted about the fraud and all his other vices, because he thought maybe the court and judge would see this and think he's pleading for mercy?I feel like he's smart enough to come up with a grease ball idea like that .
While I agree that what he did was at the most very untrustworthy, he literally didn’t do anything that the bank doesn’t do every single day. We are calling this a ponzi scheme, but the bank calls it marginal loaning/interest/repossession/solvency. Only difference is that the police work FOR the bank.
I dont think Fed police give a shit up to 100k but to steal 8 million... its different story. Up to 50k to 100k they say its your fault for trusting ppl
AF comes off as on the DL closet case. Say more about your "digital sex slave" comment. Are you saying that he was turning tricks for 💲online? What did you mean?
He almost got me, but the more I talk to Anthony on the phone somethings he said to me made me suspicious about Anthony.... Anthony tried to blow my phone up a whole bunch of times I just didn't answer....
thumbs down, the whole video is all about draaaaaaaaging..draging the video along. ''well get to that like 100x'' so the whole coal is to drag the video as long as possible. All that could of summed up in max 5min.
The one in the green shirt thinks very highly of himself and doesnt give a shit about the one in the black shirt. Good coverage on the Farrer disaster, but this being my first episode on this channel…weird chemistry. There are no normal people in this fucked up industry lmao
