I left Resita as a 14 year old in 1994 . I've been on this route many times before and since and still love it. This is an awesome video and great to see places and people the way they were when we left the 'ole country '. Fantastic looking train and great journey. Particularly interesting is the funeral procession with the brass band. It tends to stop at every cross roads ,where the priests will say a prayer and the people in the procession give money to the poor and kids hanging around in honour of the dead person s soul. I know I'm a bit...late here but this has made my day, thank you. Fantastic video :)
Oh my GOD!!! What a video, what a masterpiece!!! Was this train a commuter or it was a special occasion? If you have more videos from that period, please don't hesitate to put them on RU-vid so that everyone can see how nice was that period. I will subscribe to your channel, you deserve all the support!
They were specials run for us and i have no more video for romania. There is a slide show of a tourist trip in 1975. I do have video from other nearby countries not yet edited. Thanks for nice comments
did you took the video? i am curios if this was indeed a normal service or was some sort of jubilee/anniversary of old 23 August? usually this service would not have a restaurant wagon
In 1995 siguranta si viteza pe caile ferate romane era cu mult peste cea de astazi..."Batrana Neagra" in tineretea ei avea iuteala maxima de 120 Km/hr.
