Timothy Jones Jr. of Lexington, South Carolina is accused of killing his five children, then disposing of their bodies in a field in Alabama. He's going to argue in his trial that he's not guilty by reason of insanity.
Oh what a load of BS, this is no real man . He can not blame mental issues, he wanted to make something of himself , he had religious beliefs but still did drugs by choice. Those lives can not be brought back, no excuses can undo his choices, so regardless he needs to pay for his crimes. He killed his kids send him to jail, all these killers have excuses but nothing can undo this mess.
I don´t know the whole story yet, but would think it´s very simple. It was revenge. He wanted to hurt his ex, she didn´t want him so he took away the most important things in her life, her children💔

Long & short of it yea... The day he did this one of the children was crying for his mom... That's what he didn't like also... The fact the children wanted their mom 💔
The mom abandoned her kids. She left him for a reason. She walked away and left her babies to fend for themselves with this angry evil man. She is guilty too. She knew he wasn't right in the head and left her babies anyway!
I'm a bit more harsh on this mother than others, yes its horrible of course, but she should have custody and sued for child support. She stated she didn't fight cause he made the money, that makes no sense to me and I don't buy that he was a good father when they were together either. If he really is sick like they say, she should have fought to keep these precious children to protect them, she DIDN'T protected them and she had the power to do so! So honestly I really don't feel sorry her, she's still has her life, unfortunately not her children. Of course I read that she sued CPS, not a surprise there, time to cash in on what you weren't even taking care of...After listening to his confession, he knows & fully appreciated what he did, he knew it was wrong, he even said he was worried what will happen to him when found out, he is not legally insane end of story. Just someone on the edge, full of rage and anger, that is it, end of story. These kids didn't stand a chance with either one of these parents. So so heartbreaking...
Notice how every one cried with real tears and said they were left traumatized by the kids death. Not once did she mention how hurt she was but kept saying she didn't want to him to get the death penalty. Never once did she mention the kids great qualities: no why?, because she never got to know them personally. I believe she never wanted them and is as cold hearted as her husband. Case closed.
He was high functioning and high performing in the workplace. He was also clearly awarded sole custody of five children. If he was so mentally incapacitated how would this be possible?
The defense just blew their case by bringing religion into it. I agree, big mistake. If he knew his forest wasn't right, he should have called CPS to come get his children. I understand that mental illness can do harmful things, but he knew for a long time he was sick or something wasn't right. He had a choice. Instead of calling someone for help, he murdered those precious babies. So heartbreaking 💔
Plus he chose to smoke Spice, I don't believe for one second he had mental health issues it all had to do with his drug use and to get back at their mother.
Sometimes I have to wonder if the defense does this on purpose... At first I couldn't understand the human that would defend a thing like this, but from watching these court cases I have come to learn that lawyers have to take on a certain number of defendants a year... They have no say in the cases they are given, it's mandatory... I don't know if you remember the Jodi arias case but her lawyer couldn't stand to defend her so badly that he quit her case and law all together... Crazy right
Also, bringing up his TBI as a mitigating factor for the murder, but then going on to talk about how smart and successful he was at school - - not saying those two things are mutually exclusive, or that the TBI couldn’t still have affected his anger and impulse control, but I imagine it threw off the jury
This wasn't insanity he wanted to hurt their mother and so he has. This happens far more then most people hear about. Killing ONE might have been insanity. It took at least 25 minutes at bare minimum to kill them all probably more like an hour and that's premeditated. Owning books makes you LOOK good. Reading and applying them makes you a better person. My ex owned lots of books. Never read any of them.
Each of these children were dealt a sorry hand with their parents. As a mother, there is NO WAY IN HELL I could just let go of my child. Every ounce of my body would fight for custody of my daughter if my husband tried to take her away from me. I would literally be unable to focus or do anything else other than devote every day of my life to get my baby back if she was taken from me. There is absolutely no excuse for a mother to give up on her child just because she's facing a few obstacles from the father. What happened to these angels is horrifically heartbreaking and could have easily been prevented. 😢
Exactly a real mother's love would have never left her kids in that monsters hand: knowing how violent he was toward her and evil with his parents. How could you feel they would be safe!!! She just left and didn't look back! He used the church to cover up his actions done to his children. No one even knows if he even went. God is not mocked and vengeance WILL be his!
I've been watching the trial but today decided to watch the opening statements. Defense with the forest crap, really?? Mental illness, insanity and schizophrenia are very different. And the fact that he read the Bible doesn't mean that he is a Christian. Many cults read the Bible and distort the Word to fit their agenda. And I don't understand how the killing of his oldest boy Natan would trigger him to kill the other sweet babies. He is evil and not ill. May God have mercy on his poor misable life. Jesus has received those sweet babies into His care the moment they left this earth.
The mom didn't even fight.fpr custody! She walked away from her responsibility as a parent. There had to be a reason she left him. She saved herself and left her babies to suffer with this demon. A good mom fights for her babies!
The defense attorney totally looks like & reminds me of Woody Harrelson. IDK about TBI, but the back of Tims head is flat, which can happen when a baby is left on its back for a considerable amount of time, day after day. It corroborates the family saying Tims mom would leave him crying, not attentive or "motherly". Just an observation.
I heard something about the defense thinking the prosecutor was getting emotional and crying. But the judge dismissed it. And I believe the attorneys getting emotional could be grounds for a mistrial.
I was thinking the same thing when they brought up his knowledge of the Bible and the importance of it!!!! I am guilty of not reading the Bible like I should but I know thou shall not murder is there!!!!!

Defense atty talking about forests, trees, ,leaves, omfg this Is the best they can do? Also, kudzu!? Seriously? Shortest openings by both sides in such a HUGE CASE , that I've ever seen. Only thing they want is to avoid death penalty. These comments seem to think he'll get off. NO. Two choices, well 3. One is insanity and spends life in hospital. ( will never happen ) . Two, death penalty. Three, life no parole. The defense atty only job is to save his life. He'll be in prison forever. This jury will give him death. Or, it'll be like Arias case. Guilty, but hung jury on sentencing 11 to 1 for death. Has to be unanimous. That's his only chance, a rogue , planted juror, that will hang the jury and he'll get life without. We could save everyone a lot of time, money, pain, etc. 2 bullets to the head costs about 1$ and takes 2 seconds. Shame on ev1 involved waiting 5 yrs to go to trial.

I'm sorry but you can be as religious as you like, as functional as you like, there are many many people who live every day with serious mental illness and they dont do this. My mother allowed us to be sexually abused from a very young age until I ran away at 14....I can't even fathom hurting her or her boyfriend....its just not in me. I became a marathon runner and healed meself. I now live over a 1000 miles away from her.

The “Ohhh Poor Timothy had a bad childhood and undiagnosed mental disorders” defense is not going to win the jury over, particularly after listening to his arrest video. Most mental illness makes u a harm to yourself not others and it makes me sick to hear this excuse! Having bad parents doesn’t make u a killer and neither does a car accident! I know I had shit parents and was hit by a car as a child and am diagnosed bi polar I’m not a killer and would never see myself being one !! Duh!! She never wanted them. I guarantee she was no better as a mother than he was a father. Did not she mentioned she also had a temper. So by her justifying her husband let us know she was to blame for her kids horrible life as much as her husband. You can tell they both didn't want the responsibility of those kids. He only kept them to keep from paying child support. He never fed them or was involved in thier school. That says it all.

The man that murdered my son in cold blood, confessed,then pled not guilty by reason of insanity. He CHOSE to do meth and became delusional ,paranoid and had hallucinations. He has went through all his appeals,but it did no good because he chose to ingest a drug knowing what it did to him. He destroyed evidence,lied to the police. When my son was found in the woods he had been dead for a week in the hottest time of the year here in East Tennessee. He never showed any signs of insanity before he murdered my son. Even though he told police he waited for my son to go to sleep,they said it was hard to prove premeditation and he only got 25 yrs.Up for parole in 2 yrs. Not once did he say he was sorry to us. What really hurt me is the fact that my son loved this guy like a brother.
