I tear apart a lot of Microwave oven's to get their Transformers under the hope that I can convert them to something useful - and I am amazed at all the 'elements' that make them up - capacitors with tantalum- - nickles in the permalloy metal providing EM shielding beryllium in the Magnetron - Barium in the Magnets in the Magnetron - - obviously copper all over (interestingly the Magnetron itself is a honeycomb of heavy pure copper) - aluminum - glass - bunches of plastics (oil) -iron - etc etc and if you track all of that back it comes from what you are describing - embedded in rock - that has to go through a ton of processing into parts that are... thrown out and sent to scrap yards that go about the reverse process of squeezing out the iron - copper - etc etc - That might be an interesting addition to your channel is cover that side of the story - like how do they filter out gold and silver and copper etc -

Cornwall was important pre-Roman but the Romans did not even occupy the area, instead the Romans saw fit to build a wall to keep the Tyne Valley and places like Stanwick, Stanhope, etc. free of invaders. I believe that Cornwall had been essentially turned into an environmental waste land by 600 BCE (trees cut for firewood, arsenic, copper, tin pollution) and mining techniques not able to dewater the mines. Then the tin trade shifted to the Tyne valley and overland (up the Sein and down the Rhone) to Italy (Tuscany) via Vix in France. This route was essentially pioneered by the Etruscans in and Empire that is not recognized. Indeed, by the time of Julius Ceasar (55 BCE) the Etruscan descendants were viewed as Gauls.

Excellent information! I'm a hobbyist coppersmith, so I use tin quite often in my casting. (Will be casting some bronze kitchen knives later this year, and will be afixing agate as knife scales.) My one major feedback is that your audio is very very low compared to most other channels. I had to watch with captions on to understand you.

I could hear you okay and I also have a volume knob on my speaker and I can still reach over about.... 1/2 foot and turn it up so I did not have great difficulty hearing you and the graphics are excellent - I just loop the video cause it's way too much info all at once - lots of work in these video's - cut aways - inserting graphics and video clips - and making it all make sense
