Hey tin-whistlers, I'm just mucking around with the tin whistle (in F). My original music can be found on spotify: open.spotify.c... www.jennybiddle.com Happy tin whistle playing peeps!
I loved your smile and the way you piss people off with your beautiful music. any place else that I can listen to more of it PLEASE Have a wonderful day. You made an old man happy.
It really sounded like that wind instrument in the movie I always wondered it was something different about that sound❤❤❤❤ Great sounds love the music !!!!!
Haha, thanks for your lovely responses. The tin whistle is in the key of F ;) I don't use sheet music, just play by ear, keeps it spontaneous and allows for interpretive facial expressions!!
I can tell something of your grandfather has passed on to you! This is very special to hear from you, a granddaughter, playing on a tin whistle that was your very own grandfather's wow! He was listening. I feel at times like I play to my Irish grandmother who transcended when I was an infant. I still feel something was passed on even though I'm not sure she played tin whistle. It's amazing to think you've only played for 2 hours, yet your grandfather's influence had a role too I bet. Thanks for sharing! You're already talented with a gift passed on!
I bought this plastic d whistle and I’ve been obsessing over the titanic notes. I watched that movie in theaters when I was 13 and I’ve always been in love with the song. So one random night I was thinking about the recorder I played in school and next thing I know I’ve been sent to the garage. So I figured out that if you add a scale to the version I learned, it looks more like your notes. However what I really would love to know is what are the other 2 sections that are in the intro? It’s the third part that seems to peak. Anyway if you have time and are willing to figure this out with me it would be so cool. I’ve added slides and chrilles and it’s so rewarding hearing the magic of that amazing song. Thanks George
I've learned it by ear and improvised some bits here and there. I peaked up higher becuase the tin whistle couldn't go any lower. Sorry I can't help anymore than that George. Goodluck. it's a special song ey!
Okay okay I get it. Well I’ve literally broken down and frame by frame I’m learning the last part. I forgot how amazing that high part sounds and how much I really want to play it. Listening too it sounds a lot better, hearing the second part peak it’s this unbelievable high umph uff dah is incredible. I’ll continue to keep coming back to hear it. Baddass lady for real.
@@jennybiddlemusic Hi Jenny. Thanks so much for the response, didn't expect one at all. That's such an interesting tin whistle, never have seen another like it.
Jenny if i try with the key of D tin whistle, will it sounds same like yours one ??? please let me know asap coz i will buy one ( only key of D, C, Bb available in here). btw your tune sounds mind blowing !!!
That's actually very nicely played (bar the facial expressions of course ; ). I used to play these as a kid and I've recently picked these up again for the first time in about 25 years. This is definitely on the learning list and the note number breakdown is a really great help. Many thanks and keep it up.
wow. to be honest, I was not expecting it to be this touching. very cool. i liked the bendings (if you call these tones that vary in their frequency up or down) A LOT. nice. greetz, Tomix
Scott K she may not know since her grandfather left it for her but I hope she gets back wth you on where to find one. I would assume a full metal one wouldn't be cheep
Alas, no. I was given it, so I am not sure. I believe it's in the key of F. It's pretty old. My grandpa gave it to me. The plastic mouthpieces aren't great, ey. Different tone too.
love it, i'm just annoying the family with my tin whistle at the moment, trying to learn this one. I can't get those twiddley bits though. please post more.
what do you use for an echo effect? is it some special microphone or a computer program? please tell me cos i really wish i could record with that slight echo sound :) btw, beautiful :D
Tin whistle is one of the high pitch instrument ..great flute..people often dont realise this. Use thermocoal is sound obstruction in ur place of practice. Pl. dont leave the tradition of practice of the instrument from ur grand pa. Try to learn as many techniques from him as much as possible. Ravishankar / hyderabad, india
