I am always looking to see if anyone has reacted to this song because it’s always been one of my favorite songs and I think you’re the first person that I have seen react to it.
You guessed well - song from 1995. Very successful in Australia and Europe.Another couple of songs of hers during that era was "Sorrento Moon" and "Wasn't it good".
Look at the Sorrento moon that’s recorded the same time as chains, chains and Sorrento moon are classic Aussie songs by Tina arena and my only 2 favourite might have to relisten to her old music from I grew up in the 80s & 90s. Although u should react to another Australian legend John Farnham you’re the voice is most famous and recognised song globally and another song with the band human nature called EVERYTIME u cry. Her BALLER live performance of this at the World Music Awards literally dumbstruck the entire audience. Significantly better vocals than this studio track because she goes absolutely AWF with her pristine belt from the bridge onwards. Celine was in the audience vining, like FAM. WHO DIS? You should check out another Australian with absolutely mindlblowing natural talent, Vanessa Amorosi. Largest range I’ve ever heard, with a totally natural high twang/thinned out top end belt that makes it sound like she’s using an extra vocal chord or something. Best example of this is her performance at the Sydney 2000 Opening Ceremony, Heroes Live Forever. 21 years later and I STILL don’t know how she sang that damn song. And having heard her live, it’s damn effortless.
Tina is best enjoyed giving a live performance. Ditto for another female power vocalist - Vanessa Amorosi. Tina sang this at the WMAs, to the dullest crowd of all time. Probably didn't know how to react to someone getting up on stage and belting out a song criticising the music industry in general.
Wow, what a surprise this was! I used to love this song. I was once a competitive dancer and a couple friends of mine used this (mixed with a faster re-mix, as well) for a routine (which won them a good number of contests, by the way!) I nearly wore that CD lol, kids off to school, housework and listening to little Tina with the lungs of a lion and voice of an Angel. Must play her CDs again, especially her song - 🎶 Sorrento Moon 🎶

She’s of a proud Greek Family back here in Melbourne I believe. But what she lacks in stature she sure makes up with a pair of strong healthy lungs. Tina made her tv start in an old but very popular tv show called, Young Talent Time.It was hosted by a campy dude called Johnny Young, way back in the 70s. Search YTT on RU-vid mate. I have a suggestion. Only a couple people have done a reaction to one of the most under rated female singers. Gerphil Flores. React from her channel "Somewhere in TIme" or "Never Enough" Her voice is so perfect to be a Disney Princess.
Like the tonal quality, nice voice, I feel that i have heard that voice from the past...maybe Taylor Dane-ish..which isn't really a bad thing.. It's nice.
