Hey there fellow commentators the 9.2 is because she is a 'virtuoso' Hence perfection. It just two flubs although minor they are there. Yet he does not take anything away from her exceptional skills. David is very fair and reasonable for this score. Perfection of play is hard to do live. He recognises her absolute god like ability. Humble and fair in my opinion. She is one of the best players out there and he agrees. He respects her more for the live performance.

David. Great reaction. The best I have heard from nearly anyone else on RU-vid. You say real musical comments about her technique and performance. Like you, I learned this on piano many years ago, so have some idea of the technical demands. And I also like how closely you listened. I hear what you call "flubs", the variations of tone and rhythm, things that could happen another (cleaner) way, and do within this performance, as many sections are repeated. Musicians are not after perfection, they are after expression. To convey emotion you make yourself vulnerable, you take risks to say something new, something real. If you do this you will always "make mistakes". Perfection is about playing it safe, being anxiously cautious. Perfection is not a goal. Sublime expression is. People often confuse talent and giftedness in the comments (not you). Talent is the ability and willingness to practice many hours to develop one's gifts. Talent is long perseverance. No one who plays this way hasn't spent countless hours playing/practicing. Period. Tina S is the real deal. A joy to watch and to listen to. Glad I came across your reaction. Thanks.

Michael Angelo Batio teaches to keep that right hand/wrist straight to get max speed during alternate picking. Otherwise, you have to turn your wrist/thumb/index finger back and forth and that can never be as fast as straight up and down motion. That motion does allow for a better touch for certain styles of play, but not for ultimate speed like what she did here.

This is the piece she's done that I find the most impressive. It wasn't written for guitar, and it wasn't written to be easy to play on any instrument. Tina S never ceases to amaze. She did a great cover of Steve Vai's For the Love of God, that Steve Vai himself praised. It's not a fast song, which actually makes it harder, as the tone, the bends, and the trem bar usage will easily make any mistakes more apparent. It's the one video she has where she is deep into the music and is very expressive. Her cover of Dragonforce's Into the Fire and Flames when she was two years younger than she was here is also a jaw dropping performance.

"For The Love Of God" is actually one of my favorite Steve Vai songs, because it does slow down and gives us listeners a chance to hear what he's REALLY doing, rather than slamming 128 notes into a single measure making the guitar sound like an angry bee.

something like 1400 notes played very very quickly without a single error.

I am going to call her technique flicking not picking , if you watch slow and close, you can see where shes actually flicking the pick outward not down or upward its very very unique may be the first time I ever seen that done.

You must listen to her other videos on RU-vid. What is left of your mind, after this, will be blown completely.

She is an amazing musician. Check out her channel. So much talent. I am going to steer in a different direction. I checked out you list of videos. You need to check out Nightwish. They are one of the most watched reactions in RU-vid land. I recommend you start with Ghost Love Score live in Waken 2013 with Floor Jansen. Her voice will send you to a high you've never heard before. Be prepared to get Floorgasmed.

Totally with you, anyone who flames you for noticing a tiny error doesn't get it. She's human. I've watched this a hundred times and found only two spots where I could identify a possible mistake. It just means she's human, which is a relief. Now, about that 9.2....
