People keep saying she's going for FKA Twigs vibe but to be honest Tinashe has been doing this. Ever since her first mixtape In Case We Die then Reverie, Black Water. She always had that murky, ethereal R&B sound going. She can also do mainstream R&B/pop but this is her zone, completely. One of the best R&B projects this year.

Now, this is the Tinashe we all know and love. That's coming from a real fan who's been rocking with her since day 1 but unlike these bandwagon fans who only knew her for her song "2 on" just because Drake made a remix to this song and y'all saying Tinashe trying to be artsy. Tinashe has been doing this style way before she got into mainstream. Listen to her old tracks and you'll understand why people rock with her.

I think this is where Tinashe realized, or started to realize that being a member of RCA’s roster was a bad idea. I might be over analyzing it, but look at the shots where she was in that body bag and listen to her dialogue. Those moments in that bag were screams of anxiety and, from what I can see, rage. Rage at the fact that RCA kept holding her back, sabotaging her. She felt like she was losing herself. It honestly makes me feel sorry for her. Now, as of 3 years ago, she’s free to create the music that she wants, that her fans want to hear. She’s resilient, she’s strong, and she’s not goin down without a fight. Yeah, I listen to her music. 333 and Nightride are my favorite albums by her. So what? I like music that I can listen to and vibe with while I’m, for instance, chilling, drawing, or just walking along the shore of a lake. Nashe’s no exception to that rule. However, I admire her because of her strength, that drive to keep goin, keep moving forward. That’s why I’m a fan, and that’s why I think people should give her a chance.

I don't understand why people always pit women against each other? No one bitches when all the rappers have the same vibe, style and sound but when women do it becomes some big rivalry. Tinashe and Twigs have 2 completely different vibes and sounds. They look alike and have soft voices and dark beats but that's it. Not to mention Tinashe came out BEFORE Twigs, she released "In case we die" in February 2012, Twigs released LP1 in December 2012. If people actually took the time to do their research and listen to her first mixtapes "In case we die" "Reverie" and "Black water" and watch her older videos they would see that she has been this way since day one.

Man I miss when ALL her songs were like this. Dark, moody, deep, soulful, unique. It really spoke to me. 2on, Superlove and Company are good but this ONE song is better than all three combined! The closest songs on Aquarius (which I do love) to her amazing mixtapes were Cold Sweat, Pretend and Thug Cry. I miss the Boss, Vulnerable, Ecstasy, Black Water, Midnight Sun, etc. sounding stuff. But I know she has to do what she has to do but this song Nightride helps me remember she's still the same artist I fell in love with back in 2012!

Tinashe is on top of every artist in this generation of R&b point-blank. She is and will continue to be revolutionary. Nightride is definitely an outstanding album on its own. I actually got to this video because someone posted it with the words "I drink lemonade too! --Tinashe"...after seeing the video, I want to make something clear to all the haters and idiots of this world. Beyonce changed the game. She flipped the script. Right when other artists were (unfortunately) no longer taking the visual aspect of their musical representation seriously, Beyonce made visual albums not only a respectable thing, but she set the bar and she set it high. There will be (thankfully) MANY more visual albums coming out, teased to perfection and with that beautiful hint of the artist that everyone has been craving since MTV stopped showing music. That's just going to happen. Get over it. No one is copying Bey, she didn't invent the visual album, but she sure revived it and set the standard, and Tinashe did a VERY good job upholding that standard here. Go Queen, keep Queening!

I truly surprised that tinashe used the traditional Chinese instrument Pipa in a way that it blended nicely with your R&B concept. Very interesting.

I like that I never know what to expect from her. She comes out with this groovy pop hit Super Love after releasing three tracks previously that were nothing like that one. Then she does the same with the next two tracks. Being unpredictable is what keeps her fresh. I love it!! I'm a fan for life.
