Sulfur helps. Currently using a Sulfur soap and body oil with neem, tea tree, oregano oil, and jojoba oil

Agree. Topical sulfur compounds can be very effective. Unfortunately they often have a really bad smell associated with them.

Do you guys know any moisturizers for Tinea that I can use after the shampoo? I find it that my skin gets really dry after showers and it’s really irritating :/

@@DoctorpediaYT doc I'm 29 see the doctor tomorrow noticed patches pop up on my back few days little bit worried research suggest none of the possible diagnosis sound great I'm a big gym fan and also use the spa sauna and steam room would this have helped me catching this disease? With the sweating ? I've always had good skin but I do work out side in the building trade and top less most of the summer . I see the doctor tomorrow but have already started using nizoral and selsun 2.5%

Oil of oregano and coconut oil works better than any treatment I have tried,dealing with it for over 30 years

I will try that. I just had a horrible allergic reaction to selenium sulfide 2.5%. My skin got all red and hot and itchy!

@Aber man it could mean that you have candida, i keep telling people that's the only best way to stop the fungus from spreading is to get their candida in check, that's what causing the Tinea versicolor, spread but not one believes me at all and some do and they got rid of the main two issues

@Jay Alexander no infact its killing the fungus slowly but my chest and back is recovering it clear half of my back within a couple of months then my chest is starting to clear up as well

Yeah, I've pretty much resigned myself to 1) wearing as few clothes as possible, always keeping my trunk as ventilated as possible and 2) getting ample sun time on front and back when it is the season. Keep the body as cool and dry as possible, not much else to do.

The FDA issued a warning about Ketoconazole saying it can cause liver damage which may lead to death. Is it worth it?

I would recommend not doing oral ketoconazole but topical ketoconazole is fine to use for the vast majority of people.

I've been suffering from this fungi disease for 10 years. And I've been switching soaps and cream but still no effect.

Same here....have been having that issue since l was around 18 now um 30..have tried so many people things to the extent of using epiderm(its a skin lightening cream). So l had to live with a fake complexion but 2 years ago l said no enough is enough let me live my skin like that coz l was tired of the fake complexion. But l googled and got information on the name and some treatments....so yesterday l bought selsun 2,5% shampoo to apply as lotion, um seeing a really great change in just a day but irritates my skin , it's inflamed

I started this in about march and now in october i’m not noticing much difference (mixed race for reference) should i be using it more ☹️ thank u in advance !!

@@lonetraveller123 this is my 14th day and l have been applying it as my daily lotion, it dries up the skin though then it burns it then it peels the dead skin off, the results are good really good, the dead skin is peeling off and the new skin is so smooth...l almost stopped using it on day 3 coz my skin literally got burnt like black burnt as if l was burnt by a fire, the burning continued until the skin died & started peeling off

@@vanessad5 the one that says medicated but it smells strong I use nizoral daily and selsum twice a week.. I had it bad like really bad I lather and scrub it on me in shower use no lotion on skin after and it will work

Try doing the ketoconazole shampoo to the affected area twice a week once it is gone to keep it from coming back. Should help!

Blou Bear so far it’s going away! There’s no redness and it isn’t inflamed. I just have white patches on my skin, but it should start to even out and go away!

I use nizoral 1% daily and selsum twice a week no lotion and it’s finally gone I had it so bad.. lather scrub than dry off really good no lotion cause it defeats purpose

@@DoctorpediaYT doc I believe I ha e this few spots come up on my back I sent photos into my local doctors waiting for them to look them because of covid no face to face or they try not too so still waiting for them to contact me in the mean time I've started using nizoral cupple times a week and selsun 2.5% been using it about 5-6 days now I have a cuplle questions 1. When will I know my strategy is working with the shampoos ? I've have read that colour can take time (a few months maybe) to come back so how will I know I'm gaining control and killing the fungus ? And 2. Is when.shampooing do I put it on neat as a loton then expholiate and wash off after 10 minutes ? Or do I put it on a wet back leave for 10 minutes then wash off?

Nothing worked for me sadly. Ketoconazole cream used to work when I was little. It doesn’t anymore. In fact, no topical azole creams work for me. Sulfur soaps, selenium sulfide shampoos did not work either I’m so frustrated :(

I just noticed this on my neck and shoulders, sticks out like a sore thumb cause im dark skin. seeing a dermatoligist soon so hopefully it goes away with whatever they prescribe me

@@romeyrome3274 My Dr prescribed me some ketocanazole 2% shampoo. I’ve been using it for the past month and it disappeared completely on portions of my upper neck but still noticeable around my shoulders and lower back area , so I would say it’s working , but might take months for it to completely disappear

Look into Terrasil. It's organic and could be worth a try if that's what she has. It's the only thing that seems to work for mine and it clears it up for a few years. I'm not an organic natural everything kind of person lol just it has worked great for me.

I think I have this any help here please I just found out about the shampoo but a dermatologist gave me minocycline it took it off but it made me so sick even now I am still not the Same but its back and I look horrible my back neck chest and the sides of my face it looks dark than my complexion it it because am dark skin?

Buy Terrasil for this. It has worked great for me. It cleard it for me though it did come back after 3 to 4 years but those years were nice not having the itch, burn, stinging, and flare ups. Be sure to buy the Terrasil product for Tinea. They do have products for other skin issues. This is probably your best option. I have Tinea covering about 85% of my upper body and that's the only product that has worked great for me.

Also Terrasil is an organic paste that you apply to your body so it'd probably have a very low chance to cause any problems unless you're allergic to any of the ingredients.
