I very much like the game as well as your playthrough. At 9:55: I think you're only allowed to look at the area tile before bidding when the survey card comes from your hand but not from the deck.
Liking the solo game very much, I have yet to complete one, only played a few 'learning' rounds so far. At 10:50 Wallace outbid you, you should then get half your bid back rounded up as kind of an 'insurance' as the rules describe (page 17 top right, just above the net worth table).
As a huge fan of board games and a huge fan of Mahler I did not expect to happen across a video where the two meet (end credits music). What a nice surprise. 👏
Trying to set my solo game up and I have turned an extra tile per region compared to yours. I read rule 13 draw number cards to select area tile to flip, then rule 14 is in the solo set up for reveal two random tiles per region. I'm not sure if I should have two or three per region set up? Any thoughts?
