Thanks for that walk around, surprised me how much deck space you’ve got. I’ll second the horizontal rod holders for snapper, If I’m fishing with my young bloke we use a 3 bank snapper rack each side, $40 each I think, bloody great.
Yeah it's a good amount of space. Not having that front bench seat is the big winner allows me to use the Esky as a seat and save room. Yeah that's the rod holders I want the 3 bank ones
Great vid. Your sounder is fine - the transducer is too close to the motor, which is why it's struggling at speed. Cavitation from the motor will interfere with the signal - move transducer as far away towards the edge of the boat as possible.
It dose look like an old stacer seahawk or a little runabout normal on the old stacers the builders plate is at the front under the bow its a little redish coloured plate the shape of a football oval 😂 anyways nice vid mate thats a decent little rig
Cheers Ryan that's an epic catch from a 3.8m tinny. I'll be posting regularly really want to make this work and am really appreciative of all the positive comments and new subscribers
Very useful vids mate for the small boat owner. Can you make a video on the conditions you might go out in this for snapper eg carnac, the five etc. How you anchor, depth etc I reckon it would be great to have a general walkthrough to see what's safe
Hey Caleb. Unfortunately I sold the little beast. My best mate passed away last month and he left me his boat. A 16.8' Haines. So I sold my tinny to spend the money on finishing off the Haines
@@RedemptionTackle sorry to hear mate my condolences well I'll be looking forward to the vids on the new boat if I where you I'd have done the same thing give you that bit more budget to really do up your mates old boat the way he would have wanted any way sorry again for your loss and I'm gonna stay tuned for the new boat good luck with it mate and much respect hey that's a really good thing to do
Under the front there if ya lucky an you got an old sea hawk like me you'll have a builders plate hidden Under the front there it's normally red for the older ones
Hey George. I purchased the anchor well from a boating store and got the grinder out and went to town on the front of the boat. Slotted the anchor well in. Drilled holes . Sikaflex and pop rivets. Run hose from the drain holes out the back of the boat
Yeah the anchor is a pain in small boats. Takes up unecessary space. That set up frees up alot of room. Just recommend ensuring its secured when traveling as it bounced out on me coming through a reef passage with some big swells wasn't a fun time
Hey Mat these models are only GPS chart plotter and they aren't compatible with a chart card Any of the hook X models are standard chartplotters and can't take a card unfortunately
My Garmin is like that but I can mark waypoints, as long as you know what ramp you left from you can get back to spots but doesn’t show the map just the track and point, my boat is smaller though too so don’t go too far, nice setup mate, and the tohatsu I had was a great motor!! Thanks for the vid buddy!!
Hey mate. Yeah I actually sold this little tinny and now have a 4.6m Haines hunter. The sounder I have now is a Lowrance elite 9 TI 2 and it's fantastic. Honestly can't recommend it enough.
@@RedemptionTackle I got hold of a 3.95 Seajay 30hp mercury . I just want to do the gold coast rivers, creeks and seaway just slowly transforming it to a little fishing vessel .Have you done a video of your HH , sounds great
