The metallic isn't as durable as ceramic it isn't as hard as ceramic and doesn't have the infrared blocking capabilities as ceramic. With the Nitto ceramic being harder as with its structure causes the ceramic film to be less forgiving when handling the film. Just holding the window film between your fingers and thumb can cause defects with the film that isn't that intense with the dyed film.
