Garraf is a population center of the municipality of Sitges, it is to the east of the term in the coastal zone of the Massif of the Garraf, and surrounded by the Natural Park of the Garraf. Garraf is a summer resort and has a frequented beach, where several television commercials have been filmed, which forms a small cove with picturesque houses, which contrasts with the rocky Garraf Massif.
The place name "Garraf", which gives its name to the massif and the region, was mentioned as early as 1011. It was also the name of the old priory of Sant Vicenç de Garraf , usually called Sant Vicenç de Pedrabona , founded by Alfons el Cast in 1163 .
Although Garraf used to be a small fishing village, the current port was built in 1902 to provide materials for a quarry that was used in one of the extensions of the port of Barcelona.
