I know when I posted this kitten book on my instagram stories soooo many of you asked for an ASMR of it! I was happy to oblige 💝 I hope you like the other ones I picked out for this video as well. They're precious to me that's for sure! Oh I almost forgot- if you don't mind, please subscribe to my channel and if you're already subscribed please hit the "bell" next it. Didn't expect to cry in an asmr video. Roy Wilson, the illustrator for the rainbow brite book, was my storyboarding teacher at art school. He passed away in 2017. He also illustrated some of the backgrounds for Disney's Robin Hood. An amazingly talented and kind man.

Hmmm new-ISH! Haha. I got these new microphones almost a month ago, and that's all I've been using for the past 6 videos because I just love em so much! Camera is my regular Canon 80D but these days I've been experimenting with lighting and lenses to try and see what cool new things can be done. It's been fun to push myself out of my comfort zone :)

This is giving me some serious nostalgia! My grandmother has a whole collection of vintage children’s books that she’d leave around her house for us to look through. She and my grandpa used to read them to us when we were really little

i can feel the texture of those through the screen. especially the first one with the cats. i grew up with the golden/silver spined books reading them at my grandmothers house. it’s one of those weird memories that surfaces and ur like oh damn forgot that existed edit: just got to the part where she said they were called little golden books and i’m nostalgic

This reminds of my maths class in year 4 (primary school in England) when my maths teacher used to read to us and it relaxed me so much as a child, I didn’t know what ASMR was at that age but that’s how I found out I loved the sound of pages turning

I have to open them and that smell I love...just heaven...also, I just want to add...that I take care of my 89 year old father...Im a caregiver❤ it can be stressful...I have enjoyed your videos so much...you have been the only one who I have been able to fall asleep to...thank you! I sure need it...yes reading books to us sure helps me too...even if its a childrens book...

I used to play a game similar to "one-two-three, that's me" with my sister! We would go through an entire magazine, cover to cover, and on every page we would pick our favorite things from each category. Such a nice way to spend time with someone you love!

Oh, ALB, this was absolutely magical. I loved the whispers so much, your voice is angelic. Also, you sent me back on memory lane with my own favorite childhood book. It was a collection of Russian tales, which I don't remember much. What I do remember, however, is the art in the book. I was absolutely in love with it! The horses had long, beautiful manes, some made out of fire. It was so colorful and glossy. Unfortunately I don't have the book anymore and it is particularly hard to come by again, but I made it one of my bucket list points to find and own that book again. Thank you, and much love from Romania!

I have a vintage copy of Around The World In 70 Days that i found in a charity shop. Almost perfect condition and everything, and it includes illustrations. It just goes to show all the wonders you can find in charity shops

I recently found at a used bookstore a vintage Little Golden book called “Dogs” from 1950s and I bought it for my son… it looks very similar to this kitten one. It has the different breeds and describes what they are like.

I grew up with these books I loved them, they used to have books on a rack like sunglasses racks and they used to play songs if u put a $1 in it and my nan used to play the song and buy me a book when I went to see her so this was very relaxing and nostalgic to me:) x

I literally had all three of these books as a kid. There exists home video of me as an almost-five-year-old reading Rainbow Brite and the Brook Meadow Deer to my family, only I'm holding it so the pictures are towards them (like a teacher) and thus reading it from upside down. Even as a small child I liked to show off my reading skills... 🙄😂

Cuddling up and listening to your videos is one of my favorite things to do. I also hope this helps you. The illustrator of the Kittens book from I believe the mid 1950's is Marge Opitz. (I love vintage things also so I thought I'd research for you since you do so much for me.)

Wish I would have known about your love of vintage kids books earlier. My family has a ton of antique books from the 50's and 60's and we have no interest in the stuff so were just getting rid of it.
