if Tiny11 or Tiny10 gains enough traction, Microsoft will either issue a cease & desist or actually listen to the userbase and debloat Windows. because at this point, should Tiny11 be considered stable, I will definitely make the switch.

Was your standard windows 11 benchmark just a base windows 11 install or the image that came with the laptop from HP? If it's what it came with, it's going to have HP's bloatware on it which would throw off the result greatly.

Hello, I want to make a project with my laptop (it is the same one you use), to add an external graphic type RTX3060. I would be curious about the performance that would get that configuration of the Ryzen 5 5500U with the 16GB of Ram at 3200Mhz and that 3060. Therefore, can you try to perform that MOD? To all those who would like or start doing that would benefit us a lot.

tbh i 'm not a big fan of steamOS - using wrappers will always have a performance disadvantage, outside of a few specific certain titles. they'll run better in windows. particularly, the games i care about. debating installing this to my steamdeck - not too worried about defenders since its not like im using it for online things. strictly, steam.

So far I've noticed between windows and Linux can get some smoother 1% lows on the deck and other x86 handhelds mini pcs running Ryzen on steam os vs windows 10/11

I wish Linux was more compatible with Anti Cheat software so a full transition to Linux was more viable for everyone. Microsoft really has just given up on getting their OS to not have so much overhead.

I'm not completely sure as I'm a new Linux user but I'm fairly certain some anti cheat stuff can be used if you install games through lutris at least I have seen an anticheat toggle in Lutris not sure what it does as I mainly play single player games on my deck and oxp spiderman God of war etc

Dude! I literally have the exact same laptop except it has ryzen 7 5825u 16 512 config yet the tdp fluctuates between single digits and 20W for ever Roblox! And sometimes even Roblox somehow is laggy, I don’t know why! Could you reply please I’d love to know your opinion on this

I really want to see if this will improve performance on VR games. Every bit of latency you can remove from your computer is super important in VR. Seems like I’m shadow warrior you are CPU limited and it gets freed up in tiny 11 when you lower the resolution. I wonder what specifically hogs the cpu in the full windows installation.

I actually beat Revelations 2 story mode and raid mode on my laptop, though with 16 GB of RAM. I had to lower the texture quality to get a decent framerate. If you have the game, just give it a try and see how it goes.

I actually installed this on my MSI gt77 with a 4090 and for some reason not only did I noticed it was way more smooth but my temperature was also down by a lot. I undervolted this laptop and I have normal Windows 11 installed so now I'm dual booting I'm seriously thinking about deleting the other official windows and keeping tiny as my main source

Of course less bloat being constantly staying idle, using CPU resources for nothing is gonna heat the CPU. Given that it needs less than half Gig of RAM idle than vanilla Windows 11, it's no suprise that you have way less heat!

Thermal throttling is also an issue need to check laptop cooling system you problem may fix with it

This is true he optimized the software side but the hardware nah. The only thing he can do is capping the fps to make the mini pc not pushing too much and smoother and not overheat itself. I also do this in my 5300u.

@@slaydog5102 my intel i7 3770's tj max is also 105 but with my stock itel cooler it goes 95 ad its start decrease it turbo boost and run on base frequency so yeh thermal throttle is happening in your case just you didn't realise it

Its more suitable for low end apu pc's like this but I've been looking for it to reduce cpu useage of games on my i5 11300h 3050ti laptop It was doing pretty fine until DX12 games started drinking my cpu up to %100 useage bottlenecks like for example The Finals It might be worth a shot

Básicamente instaló una versión de Windows 11 con solo lo esencial, osea sin nada de complementos extra ni bloatware. Ya que así el sistema usa menos recursos que pueden ser utilizados para los juegos y programas.
