Typically FPV Bundles are catered to the beinner and indoor flying. Not with this Emax TinyHawk 2 FreeStyle! This TinyHawk 2 FreeStyle is a complete Ready to Fly FPV Bundle which includes the Micro FPV Drone, Radio Transmitter, and FPV Goggles, 2 batteries and a charger. This quad is not suited for beginners or indoors, but hey what do we know? If you insist, (lol) just fly this in an wide open field without any trees your first few flights. The hobby and stuff expands soooo damn fast, open source Programms for the FC or parts. I started 4-5 y ago when we used 12 a esc or less and mostly just 3s cams and all that . Stored my quads and stuff over the last 2 -3 years and just a week ago I thought to start again. I feel like a newbie again cuz everything changed so fast. 🤣

You mention liking tail in orientation when learning. I fly 3D helicopters and I used to explain orientations to people and my favorite was inverted orientations. I'd tell them down is up and up is expensive. lol

On the emax easy pilot to calibrate it you flip the right top switch all the way up then down 6 times and makes it hover perfect. It has the same control so it might work the same

I learned to fly pretty well in angle mode with this thing. Learning acro mode on it you'll need spare frames, but it's a great freestyle flier.

Once so hard the batteries and the battery connector went flying off it and I had to search for the parts, but when I broke the frame I just hit some branches. I had to wait a week for the frame to get here so I like to keep an extra on hand so I can get right back to flying.

First of all nice explanation and video. Good job. Basically I can change the 2x1 s against a straight 2s lipo and change the cables as well am I right? I mean it's set up for 2s and should not matter HOW the quad draws it.and as you said it has this 2 time option just for the case of pricing sich is understandable .

I got the emax pilot and love it. Ordered the whoop and the freestyle to use with my setup. You can bind all emax tinyhawks to the same beginner sets.

@@fredericpetitpas you can bind the controller to other emax drones. The goggles will pick up any signal that is broadcast. If you need another transmitter, research and find a multi protocol system like radio master or jumper. I have a jumper t18 pro for drones and planes.

@@fredericpetitpas also, unlock the 200mw on your th2 free. There is a video where you hit the button on the vtx to change from 25mw to 200mw. It will increase your range for your video feed. Helped me lots!

Have any of yall found better rates for the RTF? I'm not a huge fan of the transmitter because I am a pincher and like more responsiveness in the middle. I typically use a spektrum controller, so I don't think I can bind up. I saw a 3.3 uart on the FC but don't want to tinker with something that already flies. Any reccomendations on tuning? Thanks in advance.

If you're talking to a newb/ beginner, you should explain what RSSI is, since you mentioned it. Can this be bought as a quad and transmitter "bundle" if somebody already has goggles (I have Eachine D2's)? If I just want to mess around in my yard, do I really want a freestyle or would another version suit me better (I usually fly in old lady mode)? I found that simple transmitter available separately and it's ~ $40. Is there something better available that will do the same job for slightly more money? Thanks.

Hi guys, nice vid. I am an intermediate level FPV pilot, having all ranges of prop diameters starting from 40mm up to 6". I just purchased this combo cause I have to work at a remote area far from home. My first impression was good but when I switched to acro mode I immediately crashed because the gimbals are so tight and I'm a thumber so it was very difficult to impose small and fast movements against the gimbal' resistance. Of course eventually I will get used to it but then I will forget how to fly with my standard radios which have much much softer gimbals.

Like the aircraft but mine "exploded" after only a few flights during a normal Bettafilght Air Mode landing. Somewhat bumpy landing but not at all unsual. The SUPPORTS are made from NYLON and stripped out. Pieces and screws went every which way. I'm replacing them with METAL. Lost one of the camera supports during the incident. 3D Printing another one. Having to design it myself. Unable to find one online. Can't wait to get it back in the air. Really performs. Hopefully it will hold up this time after fixing the DESIGN FLAW. 2s is about as big as you want to go on this class aircraft. Have a couple 3s in this size, too awkward.

I'm a hobby droner and thought yeah i can handle that little thing. Wrong it's on another level awkward after all the flying with a stable parrot n dji mavics this thin is terrifying when you get it to start as it only goes when it fancies it. My first attempt went around 100 feet straight up with the lightest touch and came down hard on tarmac but no damage you can't tell its hit tarmac and my ceiling lol. So undecided on what drone to get.....there are so many out there and so many options to look into....the thing I want the most is great field of view....at least 30%minimum and camera adjustability this is a great little starter drone though for sure 👍 great vid wish you guys would've taken it outside and showed how good the camera is in the outside lighting.....there are alot of things to know before getting an fpv for sure....so basically guys HELP ME !!!! I'm not new to flying just want a great fast drone thats durable and nimble👍after researching everything this is not for beginners....the fact that is doesn't have a dvr is horrible....a beginner is going to lose line of sight on their quad and not being able to find it via dvr is sad....my opinion though

I know this is a pretty old comment but the 450s are the way to go because they’re light and you’ll feel better in the air. You can notice a big difference in weight with other batteries

I don't think they mentioned you want to change the quad to race band 8. Because wifi uses bands 4 and 6. Something to consider for less interference.

Hello, could you help me with something please. So, recently I have accidentally burned 2 different FC boards on my Tiny Hawk Freestyle 2! I solder all my motors, and then check all joints and they are very clean. I plug in my two 1s batteries to the pig tail, and the drone chimes up as normal and all is well. I then go to EMAX and get the proper THF2 CLI command for my new flight controller, and go into Beta Flight uploading it to the drone, again all is successful. I bind to the original EMAX E-6 radio, and it is bound. Now, when I give the drone about 1/4 throttle.......it throttles up very high, loses control and flips off the table. I try it a few more times and same conclusion, but now......the smoke is let out of my FC:( DO YOU KNOW IF I need to set the new FC to 2s lipo batteries before trying to fly it? It seems like that is what is going on, because if I was using two 1s(2s total) and the drone is set for 1s, wouldn't that possibly cause this issue? Any advice you have would be very helpful, thanks:):):)

It's bouncing because air-mode is enabled. Disable it and it will not bounce. But then again any decent pilot would just disarm before it hits the ground and keep air mode on!

WARNING puffed battery’s are DANGEROUS you should dispose of it properly. I don’t know the regulations in your state, so look it up. Glad you found the drone!

Battery maintenance is important. Lithium can catch fire so when they start to balloon, move to somewhere safe for fire risk.

Dun fly.with the camera lens cap on. Bcoa when crash, might cause the from camera lens to dislodge and lost. Then you will have to get a replacement camera to refit

This is a great drone, flew it once, battery’s died so I went to plug in another one, and it started to smoke, not sure what happened I was indoors so no water, 2 1s batteries so not overpowered, not sure what happened at all! We got it returned and am getting sent a new one! Maybe bad batch

Don't forget to mention there's no user manual or Chargers included. So you actually need to go to a hobby shop buy multiple Chargers if you're going to charge your remote headset or batteries also you'll need a manual so you know when the batteries are charged and how to operate and set up the Drone. Just an FYI for anybody reading because RU-vid doesn't tell you this nor does the website tell you that you don't have everything you need. By the way you can't find a manual anywhere online so you'll have to company where you bought the Drone and have the mail you one. Solid green light on the controller battery charging and the headset charging does not mean the battery is fully charged. Who knows when the battery is fully charged I guess when it catches fire. Also flashing or solid green lights on the battery pack, same thing as above. I guess just wait till you start seeing your little lipo start to melt and smoke and you'll know that it's fully charged. Doesn't make any sense why they have green lights on a dead battery

Thanks for info. It seems they've used 18.650 battery for both goggle and controller. It's a pretty common battery among electronic devices. I've been using a power bank to charge my flashlights which use same battery. I don't know if there is a better way but it works. I use a 20.000mAh power bank. Today I asked the same question to EMAX Official Store employee and guy said I can use a power bank. User manual is in digital form. The controller on this is like wrestling a wet cat into a bag. It isnt good for someone to learn fine, controlled movements. The goggles are toddler size. I don't think these are the best drones. Get a decent low priced controller, like a jumpe t-lite (which will bind to one of these quads when you are ready, and velocidrone and learn the controls on a decent stick and then when youre ready buy some goggles and a bnf drone with frSky. I personally thing the best drones to fly are the betafpv 95x and the babyhawk hd 2 as one has prop guards, and can be flown slow, and the other (babyhawk 2) is a perfect drone IMHO. Light, Fast, stable. And the HD version has great video.

Maybe I got the lemon, nothing about the one I got is for beginner's. The drone is almost unflyable. No matter how I land it, or in and mode, it jumps, hops uncontrollably everytime I try to land. Someone told me the PID's are bad. So how does a newly that is clueless fix that? This drone kit was a total waste of 200 bucks.

Common steel flies a 5" in a mansion and you won't fly a tiny hawk in a hobby store. 😕 Lol I wouldn't either but I hit everything I see through the goggles.

Steele is a professional, and one of the best in the hobby.. This is an entry level quad.. Btw, if you hit everything you see, try flying some line of sight ;)

Learn on a simulator first, at least 10hrs, and you`ll save yourself some money and frustration ;)

Chad Kyletheman this is the future man i think it’s gotta have dvr . Shit i think it should even be digital, fuck it’s 2020 and we cant get a crystal clear video feed🤷🏼‍♂️
