Tinywhoop Clinic: Meteor 65 Pro only OSD? You might need to replace the VTX

For the Meteor 65/75 Pro, if you are seeing only OSD in your FPV Goggles, you might want to try to replacing the camera first, if it still does not work, then, probably you will need to replace your VTX... and this is a step by step guide.

Great video. I have a meteor 65 and 75 and both had very week solder joints that just came loose after a couple of weeks of flying. That was the main reason I went with a Mobula7, because the built in vtx, I just wish they would all use the same camera plug.

Thanks Man! The Meteor 65/75 does have this problem, but when they fly, they fly like a champ. Same here, I used my Modula as a bando, as it is definably much much durable.

Multiple times on my Meteor 75 and 75 Pro, after a crash the camera's connector came disconnected. The second or third time on the 75Pro, I used some Bondic to attach the connector/socket. No problems since. Thanks for this tutorial, as I will likely need it someday!

Great Video man! I saw you flying in the end of the video! Which Pids configuration do you usually use? do you use the same mode and configuration to fly indoor and outdoor ?

Thanks Bro, The PIDS and Rates in the video are BetaFPV default, they are not that good, will be releasing another video for the Meteor 65 with updated PIDS and rates. As for the modes, I fly both in Acro/Air mode.

Hi! Thanks for the video. I had the same issue. When my replacement VTX came i wired it in wrong way (swapped CAM and SmartAudio). Got no signal in goggles when powered up and VTX became hot. After double checking and re-wiring nothing changed. Did i fried the VTX? Cam? FC?

Hard to tell, as long the + & - have not been wired the wrong way. Your VTX should still be good.

I had another issue, when Meteor65 is hot (4-5min of flight) video becomes "snow" and almost disappears. I figured out my canopy had no holes and no ventilation. So I thought to order new canopy but then decided just to drill 5 holes around, similar to the new canopy design, 3 small on the roof and 2 medium on the backsides not close to fastenings. Of course all electronics were removed firstly. And all issues were gone! Hope it helps to somebody.

Nice video! I have a Meteor75 pro and the video signal quality is not so great even at a short distances (30 meters). How can I check if VTX is the problem? I changed the power from 25 to 200 and 400. There is some improvement, but not as much as I have expected. Thank you!

Can you advise what do you mean by video quality in terms of bad? 30 meters is about right for the range i will say for these tiny whoops. The best way to check is still replacing the board directly which cost about $20

Also, my ufl plug broke off the vtx board. It's cracked. Is this fixable? What would you do? Ty for ur help

@@iFLYXWings6589 thank you for your reply. I did a distance test in the open field and the range was very good. 100 meters at least with clear signal quality. If I fly around buildings, near trees then I experience poor quality. Most importantly my vtx is working well and I don’t have to fix anything. I might improve signal quality later with better antennas and goggles

If your AIO is down, and has no video signal you might need to replace the whole board

@@iFLYXWings6589 I do get video signal - black/grey image with OSD over the top. I thought that it's most likely the camera or connector was dead, but seeing this video where you had the same symptom but it's the VTX made me concerned that mine has the same issue. Any way to find out whether or not it's the camera other than buying a new camera?
