TIP 2 | Invisible join row (single crochet) not using slip stitch

sc: single crochet
inc: increase single crochet ( make 2 single cochet on 1 footage stitch)
sts: stitches
-------------------------------------
We always using slip stitches to join row and finished off, but it's point join is very clearly and not nice naturaly. With a pattern buider, using infinitive row is very hard to count/locate the details, then, I think this tip will neccessary for you and for my future tutorials.
Hope you like it and thanks for watching!! 😘😘

I have been crocheting for more than 40 years, and whenever I did some stitch like this, I would be told, "That's not a correct stitch. That's weird." Thank you for showing that we don't have to stick to merely ch, sl, sc, hdc, dc, tc, yo, pull through, and turn! Happy Hooking!!!

I've watched many videos on the invisible join and, though a bit more complex than the others, this is the only method that I find intuitive. It resembles the invisible close at the end of projects or a colour change quite closely and will work great for stripped amigurumi projects as it doesn't produce the jog you get by working in a spiral, which is exactly what I've been looking for. Brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for this video. It’s the best looking technique I could find on RU-vid. I’m a beginner and having trouble with one part of the technique. After you put your hook through the loop that had the stitch marker, and make a SC, where do you insert the hook for the next SC? I tried finding the first stitch but it’s always buried because of using the second stitch earlier.

You can use this method with as many as you like. BUT, this method only suitable (looking best) for the large pattern, with small pattern we should use the basic method (slip stitch for end row or spiral crochet-endless row) Sorry for my late answer 😢

Any idea of how you would change colours (at which point) so that there is not this ugly jog when doing stripes in Amigurumi. Thanks for this awesome video. I also prefer your chain method instead if the magic ring. Much neater. Thank you.

Hello! This is by far the best invisible join! How do I do a decrease using this perfect circle method though??
@Snailboo
@Snailboo 2 года назад
Sorry for my late reply ❤️ Of course we should be, because the decrease stitches will make the line if we use original method: decreased steadily. That's why I always decrease with another number at start (you can see the example on my another pattern) and the decrease method is quite similar 😉

this by far is the most invisible join row i've ever tried! i have a little trouble understanding what counts as the first stitch when i'm increasing into the first stitch (how much of the mass i need to take with my crochet hook for my yarn over and pull through. it looks like you stab under the first stitch and take it all?). It looks like stitch into the back loop only on the first join for the magic ring, is that right? aAd from then on you ignore the first stitch and pull through the horizontal bar made when you pulled the yarn through the second stitch?
@Snailboo
@Snailboo Год назад
The loop we pull (when end the row) will replace the top head for below stitch, so, on every row, we must be pull to the second stitch, even the first row that with magic ring.
@lilMsAggie
@lilMsAggie Год назад
So only the first round needs to go into the second stitch? All the others are in the first stitch?
@Snailboo
@Snailboo Год назад
There is: the last stitch of every round is always into the second stitch, because the first stitch in every round not have the "top loop" that use for the last stitch of round join in to finish a round.

@kdawg4evo
@kdawg4evo 4 года назад
@@Snailboo That would be great if you could! But I understand these are a lot of work to make so if not that's ok too haha . I also have sc2tog as the first stitch in a round in some of my patterns I am following. Would this method still work for that? If I understand right, your method makes the first single crochet in the round as a result? Not sure how I would apply this method at the end of my amigurumi pieces when all of the stitches are decreasing to close up a head piece for example.
@Snailboo
@Snailboo 4 года назад
@@kdawg4evo no no, the first sc on my tip is for normal sc, but it don't have a loop on it's head then the loop you pull at the end (after you make the last sc) will complete your first sc. Then, if you have 1 increase sc /or 1 decrease sc first, just do it as originally, the loop at the end will complete your row/round!

@alexb6712
@alexb6712 4 года назад
How does that work?? So don’t slip stitch and chain one into first stitch of last round - just single crochet into that first stitch to start the next row? Anything you can share would be so appreciated.
@Smulenify
@Smulenify Год назад
For things that are made out of sc or cross-stitch sc you can usually get away with not joining, especially for shapes like spheres. However if you're making stripes or have different stitches or patterns it'll be noticeable that you're making a spiral. There will also be a noticeable edge where you finish (except for spheres and sphere-like shapes) which can be very visible on some projects. It's possible to minimise it somewhat, but not completely. It's really useful to know different techniques so you can best chose what is needed for a project, but I agree that going in a spiral is the easiest least visible method for things like amigurumi!
