I know this is a old video, but great tip and you are absolutely right...I offer 2 basic packages, "Standard" and "Deluxe"...I pre spray on both, with heavier pre sprays and more rinsing for my deluxe...when I started offering a Deluxe cleaning I was surprised at the number of customers who asked for the deluxe...extra dirty carpets obviously require more effort, but customers are willing to pay for it if they get the results...and of course there can still be additional costs for extreme odors, water damage, etc...
Great tips. I've gotten a lot of advice about making 3 packages and on each package make options. Im making my price list now. I like the way your price set up is and I explain about waterclaw, Scotchguard and restoration in person or add those at the bottom.
Package pricing works for me because I don't have to up sell to people, they usually choose the most expensive or middle option. Like u said, it only works if u keep ur pricing simple and to the point; that's why I go for 3 main price options for many of my services...
I use 3 package pricing options: 1 with Scotchgard, a pet premium package with enzyme odor treatment and scotchgard, and a basic w/o any Scotchgard or deodorizer. All packages include pre spray, pre vacuum and extraction
Geoffrey Howells For some reason your initial response to me isnt showing up. But what you talked about is spot on. People choose our middle package all the time. I like this structure because people feel like I am not trying to nickle and dime them by adding a bunch of extras rather then just having a package for it. Our packages are also designed for different soiling conditions...so if someone doesnt maintain tgeir carpets by vacuuming or regular cleanings...obviously our basic package wont be for them. I agree with Courtney about keeping it simple...but you can do this even while offering packages..
I deleted it ... haha - Anyone can research sales and marketing data - I felt like a broken record by repeating what's widely available. Honestly, I have always wanted to hop into web-marketing
Packages work great for us. It also increases our average ticket. I get what you're saying...not for everyone. I would say keep it to 2 or 3 packages for anyone that plans on doing it. Some guys get carried away with 4 or 5. Our basic package is still a thorough cleaning...we just make the customer pre vac and no furniture moving. I dont understand guys that have a package that doesnt include pre spray...thats silly.
Courtney what days are best for consulting? Are you $175 per hour? two years ago where your prices $35 per room just trying to do the math on how you priced out those rooms 😀 My email is Thecleangenius@gmail.com
Courtney. do you do your own web marketing? I would be interested in talking to you about what you do or the system that you use. It seems to be extremely successful and I got lots to learn yet.
