Placing the magnifier away from your body serves a very practical purpose. When positioned too close to your body, there's a risk of it recoiling and snapping back into place. To avoid this, it's recommended to position the magnifier in an outboard direction.
There are two key benefits to this setup. Firstly, when you bring your rifle up and need to engage a target without using the magnifier, it's much simpler to extend your hand and push the magnifier outward. This allows you to quickly return to your target and engage without any magnification. Alternatively, if you're already in this configuration and need to engage a target, you can easily retract the magnifier and swiftly return to your target.
Regardless of the situation, it's crucial to position the magnifier away from your body to prevent it from interfering with your gear or body placement. If it's currently positioned in bound, simply flip it over to the other side for optimal placement.
By positioning your magnifier away from your body, you can enhance your shooting performance and quickly adapt to different engagement scenarios. Remember to prioritize a setup that prevents interference and allows for seamless transitions.
