thank you for sharing this video.. it is very insightful. i have a backyard operation here in Nairobi, Kenya. I plan to plant 3 acres in the future..... cheers keep up the good work!!!
Excellent video. My plants are progressing well , now I learned a new tech from you. Do you mind to show the method how you made that trelly which I liked.Thank you bro.
We are in Hawaii, I have one big red dragon fruit, never flower, this month I found one, first one and only one, I had tipped before but never flower, this is surprise to me, I don’t know how can pollen it, no second flower to pollen. Also, I had small yellow dragon fruit plants, but never flower either, I may replant that again!
Hello friend, as usual great information in very short video. Q1- I live near San Francisco, Ca, it's getting hot here now days and it is almost the end of may, can I still tip my plants? I haven't seen any buds on them yet. Been told because it wasn't hot enough this year. Q2- What is the acidity of soil? and how to fix it if you do? Thanks again in advance
Good mrning and a veŕy informative can i ask a question, my dragon fruit almost 10 months old and they had a budge cause i follow u tipping, but mine can't because theybecame yellow then fulling down tha budge what will i do, thank u.
If the buds are falling off, wait for the plant to mature a year or so before tipping. Stressing the young plant to produce more than its capable of can result in bud loss.
does tipping help new growth of stems ? i bought my DF a year ago it's happy and healthy but it only grew one long stem last autumn (FYI we onyl have 1 month of winter here )
it's been 2 years now and my dragon fruit tree was only got two buds once and falls out. and until now it didn't get any buds anymore. what i'm gonna do? i'm from the philippines..
@@mubassirahmed9320 No exact measurement. The plants are in pots so we can move them. They are currently arranged to fit 16 plants in one 26X12 greenhouse.
Do you want more plant material now and fruit in two years, you should cut. If you want fruit in one year and more plant material in 6 to 10 months, don't cut. Personally we do not cut. You should also consider your growing region.
@@Spicyexotics noted thanks... Because im creating a proper height standard for the Trellis. So its between 4.5-5ft for less maintenance, max length of stem
I was wondering crown or base, because you said 55 inches from the base in the video. So good to know you meant Crown. I'm happy because I'm soon there with some of my branches, thanks so much for the video.
@@Spicyexotics i just visited your website and I'm wondering if there is any possibility for you to deliver cuttings to Morocco ? I'm planning to take kinda big quantity
