I am so keen on buying a motorhome and so glad to have come across your channel. Thank you so much for the tips and tricks. After watching this today I will have to watch again , as opposed to stop and start, and makes notes on my phone about all the apps you have suggested. I am also a bread person but wraps are a good tip. I like the idea of free camps. I have a lot to learn. I will be a solo traveller, so really looking forward to this lifestyle. I am a avid online shopper LOL and that’s a good point.. being organised is the key! Thank you 😊
@campwinnietravellingaustralia
Take that leap of faith and buy yourself a motorhome, get out there and see our beautiful country. We are so happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed watching this video, so please keep watching. If you have any questions we are more than happy to answer them. 😀

Great advice on so many subjects, wishing to travel with the misses upto 2- 3 years but after many months I still cant decide: converted coach/ 5th wheeler/ stretched motorhome or 4x4 caravan, but after seeing the roads you’ve been driving on ( without getting stuck in wet dirt roads) I don’t think the large vehicles are suited, so confused.
@campwinnietravellingaustralia
Yes I know exactly what you mean! We are spoilt with opinions now days, which ads to all the confusion. We found a toughened up motorhome to be the most practical for us, our budget, and where we wanted to go. We do feel it all comes down to just that, where you want to go and what you want to go and see

I'm looking to buy a Toyota Coaster and convert it but a little worried about the laws in Aus about "Free camping" overnight stays. How has your experience been around Aus? are there many places/towns that are motorhome friendly? Awesome video btw.
@campwinnietravellingaustralia
Hi and thanks for your question. There are a lot of free or low cost camping around Australia. Some places we stayed specified a time limit like “24hrs free camping” or “48 hours free camping” one we stayed at had a 7 day time limit, yet another on the Tassie coast had a 28 day limit. Some will specify that you need to be self contained and others not. If you download WikiCamps app it’s great as it shows you were all the camps are free or not and you can also find out where you can get water or dump points etc. plus users can leave reviews and comments like on the condition of the road driving in, it was a huge help to us.

Crickey, it’s going to be difficult to travel around Aust for 3yrs when you have to move from most camping sites everyday, was hoping to go real slow & rest up at camping sites for couple of days.

Were you able to get Telstra reception everywhere or were there places that you had none? Do you need satelite tv or not?
@campwinnietravellingaustralia
@campwinnietravellingaustralia 2 года назад
We all had Telstra service on our mobiles. I wouldnt travel the country without it, however, there were still plenty of places we never had service at all or it was a just 3G with 1 bar, enough to send and receive a text. We did take a spare phone and got an Optus sim however it never worked at all when we didnt have Telstra so it was basically a paper weight. As for TV reception, there was a lot of areas we couldn’t get TV reception, and a lot of places where we could. So if TV is important to you then I’d recommend Satellite TV for sure. 😀

@@campwinnietravellingaustralia Thank you for your reply. We have just binge watched nearly all your videos. How crazy are we LOL. ?! We just ordered our Habitat 1 but have to wait until mid 2023. We are now doing our research and you're part of that, so Thank you very much! BTW Tv is not important to us but Internet would be.
@campwinnietravellingaustralia
@campwinnietravellingaustralia 2 года назад
@@unicorntravellers5103 awww I’m glad we helped. Internet was pretty important to us as well although I didn’t need it for work or school. I’d prob look into something that might boost internet? Thing is with those is it will boost internet service if there is at least 1 bar, BUT if there is no internet at all it cannot boost from nothing. I’d need to research into that more. Let me know if there are any other questions you have. 😄

Hi it’s called “Earth Choice” laundry liquid. It’s in a clear bottle and the liquid is a blue/grey colour. Cheap as in Woolies too.

Is Teatro really the best service kind regards Joshua
@campwinnietravellingaustralia
Hi Joshua, do you mean Telstra? If so then yes, we took a spare phone with an Optus SIM card and whenever we had no Telstra service we didn’t have Optus service either. So I wouldn’t bother with Optus. Boost is a cheaper way to get Telstra service and they use the full Telstra network, I have recently changed one of our phones over to Boost to try it out and yes it has the same service as Telstra. There is now starlink internet (satellite internet) but I have not looked into that as yet, however from what I’ve heard it’s great. I hope this has answered your question.
