@@thisisrxm no worries. Saves getting a hand cramp :) For the passenger side mirror as well, it does auto dipping. Put the mirror into the passenger side, and adjust it in R, then move to D and adjust to where you want to. And leave it selected as the passenger side. It will then auto dip when in reverse and revert back automatically when taken out of reverse. Instead of having to toggle it
haha makes sense that Audi would have designed it better than doing a giant hand stretch to hold both buttons. thank you for the clarity around the dipping mirror too. I have pinned so hopefully people see this after watching and correct my two mistakes. thanks very much for sharing. I'll look to correct these in another video perhaps.
A tip to add to 01 - deactivate keyless entry by locking the car with the remote key then straight after touch the lock sensor on the door handle. Next time you unlock it you'll have to unlock it with the remote to get in. This prevents thieves being able get in your car with a key signal relay device.
Sounds good for when you're washing the car as well. When the sensors get wet and you have the key on your pocket, the car tends to keep locking and unlocking.
I've had my RS3 for almost a year now and nearly skipped watching this figuring it wouldn't be useful... But I'm glad I watched, I've been looking for a few of these features thinking they didn't exist, and others are new and useful to me. Thanks!
With the dual aircon sync you only have to hold the A/C button for 3 second to sync it. turn the passanger dial to the setting you want to turn on the dual climate
thanks brother, you are right there was a few things I didn't get quite right in terms of how easy it is. I made it look a bit harder than it really is haha thanks for sharing and correcting man 🙏
You can turn off the folding mirrors when you get out. Turn the car off, open the door, turn the mirror control switch to the mirror folding position, and they wont fold when you lock it. If you want to take pictures, for example. You wouldn't want to do this every time in the winter, better to do as you say and turn it off in MMI. You can sync climate control by just holding in the auto button for 2-3 seconds, you don't need the other button You can leave sync mode simply by adjusting the passenger temperature knob. It will adjust the passenger temp away from the drivers temp and break the link. Then hold in Auto for 3 seconds to return.
Subbed. Very nice A3 btw. I just purchased one myself from Melbourne. Mine is a 2017 model. And I am struggling to find the android auto. I've been told it definitely has it. But so far I can't connect to the Audi smartphone option in the MMI
check out the instruction books that would have come with the car. there is a whole section on how to use the Audi MMI inside the booklets. I would say that you will find your answer there. Hope you get to figure it out.
How do you make both side mirrors tilt down when you put the car in reverse? Quite often I want to reverse between two vehicles and need both mirrors tilted. My old Toyota would tilt both side mirrors straight away as soon as the car was put in reverse. I'm very disappointed my more expensive and modern car only tilts the passenger side mirror when I click a button in reverse which I then have to click back. It seems like I've taken a backyards step in technology.
i believe that both cruise control and also folding mirrors are part of an option that needed to be selected when first buying the car new from the factory mate
@@thisisrxm No worries man! It’s nice to see an Australian RS3 on RU-vid, chuck some night drives, recent mods, what your thinking of doing to the beast.. love the set up, about to purchase the same car in the next month or so.. Keen to see what happens in the future!
@@jamesdolan8688 sounds good brother, i really appreciate you taking the time to comment some ideas. I will for sure make more content based on your input. I actually just had the rs3 put on airlift suspension so I will be doing a full video on that soon too. you will not be disapointed with your purchase! they are great cars and it puts a smile on my face everyday. make sure to add me on IG if you ever make an account for your new rs3, i would love to follow yours. thanks again man so much
damn man that is so annoying, both seem like very reasonable base level inclusions right? I'm still burning that my 2016 RS3 did come with android auto/apple carplay. sucks so bad.
@@daniel.s8126 plenty of missing quality of life features from the 8V RS3 unfortunately, kinda weird how they left out alot of just small things that could have made this car go from great to amazing. i think they were all just focused on the engine lol
