There are ways to do this without the need to spend credits. Most forums have a full list of tutorials on how to achieve this with the actual system apps and long coding for all available options (yes OBDeleven can long code, contrary to popular belief)

Yeah that’s 100% true. I wanted to show the credits since the average consumer wouldn’t really want to/understand the long coding procedures. But you’re correct you can bypass spending credits by coding it!

BTW you don't have to pay for the credits. The credits are there so you can just purchase the mod without doing it yourself. I went in and did the mod for windows up and down using the key fob and recently found out that they sell that mid for credits. I did it for free. Always look around.

Unfortunately the software is generic so it’ll show some stuff that’s not a Available for your car within reason. So like if you have a Audi a3 it’ll show s3 and rs3 options but it won’t show other models outside that. So GTI would show golf r’s and golf’s. Also they have newer versions of the software now so it can be totally different from when I last used it roughly a year ago! Thanks for watching

I will mention the "window auto drop" is for the a5/s5/rs5 models (or any model without framed windows) so they don't impact the trim piece when you open or close the door. A pretty nifty feature, has nothing to do with the pressure.

9:26 - It doesnt. I was having some fun in a snowy mountain (private road for anyone wondering) with mine turned off and once the car noticed i was about to spin the car 180 degrees, it turned all electronics on again and corrected itself. Im actually fine with that, even if you do wanna bully a bit its still a safety net. I'd turn it off for a track day, but not for road use tbh.

*The reverse tilting passenger mirror feature comes standard on all Audis that are equipped with seat memory. I used to work for Audi Sales during the B7 Reign, used to see it all the time when moving cars around. And yes, I drove that sprint RS4 too HAH* but cool feature tho, thanks for pointing it out

Yes but I would prefer both side mirrors to tilt down. I find i use tilt on both mirrors equally. Being used to both mirrors tilting in previous car to only passenger tilting, personally I don't understand the logic of only doing one.

So I believe they changed up and it might now be included. But for when this video was filmed yes you’d have to buy the device and you’d get like 100 free credits then you’d either have to buy more or you can watch ads for 30 seconds and get some. But that’s only for the coding aspect. So if you wanted to use this device for Maintenance or releasing the parking brake for a brake job or other maintenance jobs it was free. But to do the cool coding and changing some things it costed credits aka money unfortunately. Like I said though I believe it changed but don’t quote me on that

Hey there unfortunately I believe it’s because your vehicle is newer and the manufacturer (OBDeleven) might not have all the features up and running for that yet. Not sure if it'll work on that specific vehicle I'm sure you can search it online. Short answer yes, It technically does void the warranty. But I've heard it depends on the shop if you were having something fixed if they'd cover it. It'll also depend how in depth you go with using the device. In most cases based on forums you should be fine and you can revert most changes back to stock

Hey dude, nice video. Im still new on this but looking to buy one of these. When i change something in the app for example add the oil temp display to my Audi A3, will it just add that feature or will it overwrite all the already existing features/settings that are configured in the MMI itself?

It can activate it if the cars got the MMI setup for it, but you'd need the MMI unit from a car that has it installed

Are the rear brakes on the Rs3 like that too? How do you disconnect the parking brake without the obd? Even if the parking brake isn’t engaged, it will still break the piston? What if the reservoir is opened?

Yes the rear brakes on the rs3 are the same. Unfortunately there is no way to replace the rear brakes without a scan tool or Obd11. Even though the parking brake is disengaged, the piston is still pushed out due to the lower pad. So I’d you try to manually push the piston back in like on older cars or cars without the electric e brake you will destroy the parking brake motor and need a new caliper. Now if you really don’t want to buy a scan tool or Obd11 you can remove the parking brake motor and manually turn it with the torx socket but that’s risky.

Just bought an s3 so I was so down to purchase this. Which I did, but when I plug in my vin into the obd11 scanner it comes back as an a3 not an s3? Should I be concerned? Unfortunately the driver side mirror is not equipped with the dipping function. It’s only for passenger side to be able to see the curb when backing up

It is OBD2 - the two is written using Roman Numerals. The "eleven" mistake comes from people misreading two capital "I"s as the number eleven - 11. But I is not 1 !! So when written down it appears as OBDII - meaning OBD2 and not OBD11 - two number "1"s are not shown on the device or in the literature. There have NOT been ten previous versions of OBD - like OBD3 OBD7 etc.

Yikes you’re no educated in this at all. Obd2 is the standard for cars above 1996 and obd1 is prior. This here for this video is an aftermarket piece of equipment that hooks up to your obd2 port and Indeed is pronounced OBD11 “eleven” it’s a way to connect to the car via obd2 and alter coding. Yeah you can clear codes with this device but unless the problem is fixed the code will continue to come back. But usually that code has something to do with the ECM so I’d definitely start diagnosis that and seeing what’s wrong before clearing it

on my 2010 a4.I have a parking break malfunction light and airbag passenger on ,I’ve been trying everything to clear them out and i can’t.do you think i clear these codes with this device?

If the device won’t clear it their not fixed. You need to fix the issues before you can clear it since their “active” codes. So to answer your question this device won’t clear it until the issues are fixed!

the shitty part is that if you activate something an than want to deactivate, you have to use 10 credits again... you can't try nothing becouse of this...

Hey great Video:) does the OBD need to stay in place all the time or can you plug it out when you're finished "coding"? Cause I bought the data Plug from Audi so it would be sad to decide between both

Thank you for that! And nope as soon as you’re done coding you can unplug it and the things you changed will stay that way unless you plug it back in and recode it! So unplug it once you’re done!

I left mine plugged in once and came out the next day to a dead battery. It might have been related or not.

@@TheHutts its actually not related, The OBD port fuse isn’t hot 24/7 unless theirs 12.5v of power being sent to the fuse. So without the accessories turned on or the vehicle on that OBD is not getting power so unfortunately the battery being dead and leaving the Obd11 plugged in are not related! A very common misconception

No you shouldn’t, you’ll get one when you put a downpipe on but the tune will hide the code

Eeeeh so between this being a subscription service, credit system, being (imo) not properly disclosed as a paid advertisement and the functions offered here, I kinda feel like this is just like any other OBD2-dongle-thingy with a fancy name out there and not really worth it. Theres simple standalone scanners that do almost anything you need for the same price, and if you want a proper tool with advanced features for VAG then invest in VCDS. I dont know without looking at it, but I have a feeling this is just a company selling macros for a system that is already available to people without the monatization schemes. Im sorry but this just seems shady to me.

Unless you have bought a car with all the features and then had turn them off before buying this device it is a waste of money. But why would you turn off the features if you want them turned on!!! As you can tell from the long list of fault codes, this guy is spending his money in the wrong places.

There's a special place in hell for everyone who changes their brake lights to flash. Not only is it illegal in almost every state, per traffic code, it's distracting. Flashing lights are designed to grab peoples attention which is why emergency vehicles use them. Flashing brake lights are more distractive than helpful.

First, it's not the braking lights that flash - the braking lights light up like normal, but the hazards come on as well in addition. That's what flashes. Second, it only happens when you're making an emergency stop, like a very hard brake because you are trying to avoid an accident that just happened to ahead. The hazards don't come on if you just tap the brakes to slow down normally. This is actually a required safety measure in Europe, and it saves lives because it indicates that you're braking really hard unexpectedly.
