Sorry that I go out of shot sometimes, the dial on my watch must move with my hand movements and adjust the magnification! 😊 Script stamps and matching dies by The Greetery. Season's GREETINGS stamps by PapertreyInk
You have solved the problem that I've had for years to accurately line up the stamped sentiments with the dies. I felt like slapping my head and muttering "Duh" for not thinking of these tricks before! Thank you!
Christine, you are so awesome!! Your tips are so helpful.. I've been making cards for years and when I watch your videos, I always think " why didn't I think of that". You are a blessing to You Tube! By the way, your CAS cards are fabulous. I love that style myself. Thank you for being you!
Chris, I always learn such great tips from you. I also enjoy woodworking as well as papercraft, and have made several jigs to facilitate my woodworking hobby, but never thought of making some for papercrafting! I have struggled with getting these fiddly little sentiment dies straight. Thanks again for several great tips. ❤
I’m feeling a little sorry for myself, got a rather miserable virus and I found you, now I’m getting different information which is good, thanks. Jenny
Sometime Christine we need to be reminded about "old hat"! Because they are time savers and we can all do with saving time. I've seen someone else demonstrate jigs but even though I saw the sense, still havent sorted and made. Will do!! Thank you
Thank you. For me is not so much saving time as getting accuracy... Which does actually save time in the end I guess, as it means I don't have to do things again as they weren't right the first time!😊😊😊
Hi Chrissie. Quite a few months ago I bought the Greetery stamps and dies u r showing and only yesterday used them for the first time, and discovered the difficulty with aligning the dies. I knew I’d seen this technique for creating and using a jig and thankfully i had saved your video so i was able to return to watch it in detail today. So so grateful for this cos otherwise I would probably have given up on this set completely (which is a shame cos they really are lovely stamps and matching dies). Very grateful for u, Chrissie, cos very much love your cards…and ur tips can make all the difference to experiencing joy or disappointment 😃😃😃
What a wonderful comment Celina, I am so pleased that my little tips proved useful. If I discover something which I find helpful, it makes sense to me to pass it on! ❤️
Christine, you never fail to make me laugh, while at the same time giving wonderful tips and techniques . Right now I'm consumed with my new gelli plates and my craft room is beginning to be over run with backgrounds.
Hallo Christine..just came across your video this afternoon . So nice to watch and great ideas. I’m in Sussex..Bexhill!! Loved the video using loo paper which blew my mind. 💕🐶🐶👍
Once again, spot on help with something that's given me a lot of grief. I love those script sentiment stamps and dies but I have trouble 1) reading them and 2) getting them lined up properly. You've solved both problems splendidly! So pleased I found your channel. Off to make myself some templates of some underused sentiments.
Your tips are fabulous! I need to make one of my die-cuts longer, and your information was very helpful. Thank you. (I love to listen to you talk with your accent… Right!🙂)
Christine you are so adorable! First - LOVE your tips. second - adore the fact that even with magnets "going after you" you still persevere through. Thank you for great tips and also showing that we ALL have things that just HAPPEN while we try to be creative. Bless your heart. Great JOB!!! Thanks for the morning giggles.
Can't thank you enough for the tip of writing what it says on the back...you would not believe how much time I've wasted trying to figure out what the die says....I use a Stamping Up positioner for the same reason...it has 2 open sides. Wish it had the springs because that's another waste of time changing bases for different stamp thickness.
Another brilliant video Christine with great tips. Thank you so much for taking the time to share all your crafting knowledge and presenting it in such a lovely relaxed and fun way xx
Great tips thanks. I didn’t know any of these so so useful. Love watching your videos and how you explain things so simply that we can understand and try ourselves. 😁😁😁
Chris you are a wonderful teacher. Love you videos- I was a teacher as well only four years ago. I always learn wonderful tips from you- Thanxs so much for all the hard work on videos and great ideas. Take Care!!!!
I’m afraid I’m not techy enough to do editing of my videos so what I do is what you get… warts and all! I’m so pleased that you can laugh along with me!
I use to dabble in printmaking but never thought to create jigs for stamping ... so thank you so much for this super useful tutorial ... tis a game-changer IMHO 😍
thank you Christine 😊 I am really enjoying your videos as I like your style of teaching. You have a good sense of humour! You have cheered me up a few times . I am on your Facebook page aswell, some great cards, although I have yet to be able to post a card. I have had 3 turned away 😢so I am really trying to put a cas card that is acceptable lol x
The vassen stamping platform was the first I bought. Thought I would upgrade to tonic platform , honestly I didn't find it that good. Vassen one stamps much better 😊
That's really kind. Did you watch the video on tips for making CAS cards? I hope it helps! I really like Vaessen products, I have three score board and trimmer in addition to the stamping platform. 😀
Thanks for the die cutting tips, Christine. I too hate the raw edge that scissors give, as opposed to the edge of the die cut so your tip using a ball stylus to smooth out the manual cut was brilliant. To me, you can clearly see the difference between the two. Take care, dear.
I go to a card club and gave them your name and told them to go on You Tube and watch ALL of your vids. SO many good ideas and time saving tips. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and talent! Could you leave a link to the 2nd stamping platform? AND I love listening to you and some of the expressions that you use! I am from California and also know Darnell through card making...(on line..I have not personally met her but we exchange birthday and Christmas cards).
Thanks so much Peggy, Darnell and I have been fortunate to visit each other's homes and take part in a retreat together! Such fun and such a lovely lady!
Hi Christine, new subscriber to your channel 🙂 I love watching your video's as you're very clear on what you're doing. I'm very new to card making so you're my inspiration thank you x
Hi. Thank you for sharing these tips. The jig is pure genius and I'm hoping it'll work with some of my other tricky stamps and dies that are giving me a spot of trouble, too.
Great tips! I have a problem with stitched sentiment strips that are too long for my sentiment stamp. I’ve tried doing what you did with the shorter sentiment die (turning it around and partial cutting), but it’s difficult lining up the stitching. Have you tried it with a stitched sentiment die?
I find the stitched ones even easier as you can marry up the notches in the holes which are already made from the first partial run through, for a perfect cut. I have another video for that somewhere on my channel!
