Easton, all EXCELLENT tips. Easy to figure out you work for Daddy D, since we never mention the actual name of a carrier. Have gotten CJO from the one with the wonderful animals on the fleet tails. Waiting for training date and am 82. Don’t gulp😊 Yes, eight two. Believe me, never thought would get to the F2F, much less get an offer. About being sick, especially if it is any thing like head cold or the Eustachian tube being blocked, those pressure differentials could burst the ear drum. So you get one or two points - better than no longer having stereo hearing. Stay safe. Herman

Hey Easton ! Sleeping in the jumpseat is one thing never mentioned . Today was my first flight and yes it can be cozy but staying consistent busy helps resist the urge lol

Hi Easton 👋 I'm a new sub here, funny how I came across your channel because of my researching for the Uber Rental Car program, meanwhile I'm an aspiring FA and can't believe I've never come across your channel before! Ha! Question for you on the call out if your sick... What if you are sick and you are on probation still? It's my understanding that you really can't call out during this time period. Would you say it varies by airlines? I'm curious about 🔺 and ✔️ Thank you 😊

Hey! Thank you for subscribing! 🙏🏼 also, that is wild!! i'm glad you found me lol So... even if you are on probabtion, call out if you are truly sick. Even a cold can lead to burst ear drums when flying. The best counter to this is to do everything you can to keep yourself from getting sick, but if you get sick, CALL OUT. Your health is more important than work. Both airlines you mentioned are very strict with call outs so beware of that! But one call out during probation will not jeaporidize your job. Multiple on the other hand... that becomes a pattern and may get looked into 👀 hope this helps!!

@@EastonExplores Thanks so much for the response! Yes, thankfully I don't get sick frequently or if I do, it is very rare, however I sometimes get caught up in the fear and limiting beliefs that my luck is it could happen during probation being that air travel usually is the main culprit for me to ever get sick. I'll keep ensuring my immune system is optimal 👍 but this was helpful to know that even though both airlines would have strict policies at least, it's not absolutely a guarantee for dismissal should it even happen once. Thank you again! 😊

I live in rural Kansas an hour from the closest airport. Is it still possible to work as a flight attendant and not live around a big airport?

absolutely! your commute just becomes a little more of a headache. But overall totally doable!

@@EastonExplores what was the pay during training? How long was it? Where was it? Thanks again!

Pay was $7.25 😮‍💨 8 weeks in Atlanta! But every major airline will be a little different with time and pay (sometimes no pay) so be prepared!
