I have returned the uber rental to Avis. My story is crazy. I wasn’t making enough money to pay the rent on time. Avis was not calling me for 3 weeks but kept trying to charge my card $362 on several times. The bank declined for not enough funds. I called them to say I shall pay later I am waiting to borrow money from my friend. After 3 weeks I receive a text message from Avis loss and prevention team commanding me to return the car before they start legal actions. I did return the car and at the desk I saw a notification on my phone that Avis tried to charge my card for $2800. The bank declined the transaction ! The 4 weeks rental that I owed them was 4x$362. The rep at the counter told me that it is computer generated and he couldn’t help me ! Then I managed to get ahold of the billing department over the phone and they suggested me to send a claim by email to adjust the bill. ( apparently they charged me $1500 for late fees, for repo and towing that never hapened !!!) the contract is telling that they will charge reasonable fee of 1,5% of the amount owed ! But the worse part of it is that my bank cleared the transaction for $2800 on the next day ! I called the bank to rant that they were not able to approve an overdraft for $362 rental and now they approved a $2800 overdraft for a bogus abusive billing practice ! I told the bank I am not paying and I don’t care if they ruin my credit ! I have no job I am broke and the bank knows that my credit cards are maxed out ! I think the bank is in conspiracy with Avis uber rental !

You had stated about using a reference and mentioned later is too late. So, it would be inappropriate to present this information later? I also worked at the Delta ticket counter a few years ago, but when I called Delta they have no record of my working at Delta, so I clicked that I never worked for them. The only proof I have is my uniform and name tag.
I cannot explain that. Delta is a very thorough and careful airline. Having no record of your employment seems highly unlikely. There must be some misunderstanding.
If being an FA was salary, I couldn’t. But since it’s hourly, I just pick up more flight segments to pay whatever expenses come up. Plus, I house hack my mortgage via a CrashPad. And credit cards also help when I wanna splurge
Oh my gosh!!!! Easton!!! I was searching for delta base transfer information and you popped up!! This is crazy! Britt here from K3 😊 thanks for being awesome! Hope to see you around!
On the referral, from an employee is it necessary if you are a current Delta employee? Or the fact that you are an employee in a different division hold the same weight as the referral since they can easily talk with your manager?
The referral must come from a current, active employee. And yes! Whether FA or another division, the weight will basically be the same. All within the Delta family 🔺
If you’re hired as a Greek speaker specifically, you’ll be sent to whatever base needs that language. You can still live anywhere and commute! You can also put in base transfers every month to whatever base you’d prefer! (Base = airport)
@@EastonExploresIf you bid a flight from out of your base, would the company fly you to the base you fly out of? Or do you need to get there on your own(stand by flight)?
They need a Union unless your one of those people that believe everything a company says no work rules written in stone and constantly changing no recourse and a cult like company just so that you know a company is not your family and or friend A UNION IS A MUST AND MUCH NEEDED THEY WILL TELL EVERY LIEBIN THE BOOK ON WHY YOU SHOULDNT HAVE A UNION DONT BELUEVE IT A UNION PROTECTS YOU AND YOUR WORK RULES
Be aware that the odds of getting hired are very low. Even getting invited to interview in person is difficult, and must people who go to that do not get offers. So apply, but don't get your hopes up. It's extremely difficult to be hired. Maybe 1% of those who apply get hired. If you really want to be a FA you should apply to more than one airline imho.
Absolutely true. Delta has had 270,000 applicants and only hired a few thousand before. Totally agree that you should apply to more than one. I think American just opened their window!
Get ready to work 100 hours a week to make a profit.this program is just for folks that need transportation, can use the app as a part time (flexible)but just have to have a second job, until you can get out of the spiral
@@EastonExplores you should, im currently considering trying this to help pay the bills and my current car would die after just a few days of driving that much. Need a flexible 2nd job to just regain control of finances as im currently in a spiral of late fees and overdrafts almost every 12/13th day between pay days.
Hello! I would love to work as a flight attended but there are several things I'd like to ask you. Right now I'm 20 years and have high functioning autism. I have a year and a halfs worth of servace experience. Can I become a flight attendant? My dream is to travel the world and I just want to be helpful and be able to serve and the benifits and whatnot. Do I have to go to flight attendent school? Thank you!
Hey! Answers below 👇🏼 1. You'll have to be at least 21 by the time you finish training to be a flight attendant with a mainline airline. 2. The airline you choose will provide the training. I'm excited for you!
Thanks so much for this, I just subbed! I have alerts set up on Deltas website for their 2024/25 hiring window. Any advice on resume best practices for someone with extensive customer service and HR experience applying for a career change as a flight attendant?
Thank you for the sub! You hear about the window on 9/04?? Perfect timing! And that'll be best to leverage during an in person interview when you can give examples of how your customer service experience can translate to providing exceptional customer service 40,000 feet in the air! But, of course, safety is number 1 and your HR experience aids you in that respect.
You look like a young guy and you're doing good pretty good video about just getting to the facts. But people definitely need to look into insurance. Typically on a personal rental not used for Uber if you deny the coverage your own car insurance applies. That means if you have $1,000 deductible then you're paying $1,000 deductible to get the car rental fixed. Being that you're specifically using the car for commercial use/UBER your policy Will not cover it. It would be instantly denied in any accident. So you would be responsible for the entire cost of anything that happened to that vehicle. To give a heads up usually these days just a single plastic bumper cost over $2,500 to fix. Uber and the rental companies shouldn't be making it so mysterious. They should be explaining this to people that come up and give them the options. And I hate to say it but they're really shouldn't be an option to drive the rental without insurance.
I’m doing that now…. It’s nothing but a headache no money can be made unless you don’t have bills…. Hertz plays games with your bank account sometimes they take the money sometimes they hold the money. Example: I pay every wk or 2 wks. So i should never owe more then one wk . I got there two wks ago and said I owed $1400 uhh what I just payed $664 2 wks earlier and anthor $331 the wk before should should’ve owed one wk. nope apparently I owed at the end of the day 450!! If you have to do it…. DONT!! And about bring car back early yes you are correct, however if you know the ppl they get it figured out with out that bc having to return a car bc of issue is different then just not liking it

$380 without the deposit I believe! and the refundable deposit was $200 if I remember correctly. And yes, they hold that deposit until you return the car, so they'll continue to hold it if you extend each week. This has many of the answers 👇🏼 www.hertz.com/us/en/programs/rideshare-rentals/uber-drivers#:~:text=You%20need%20to%20bring%20a,an%20additional%20%24200%20security%20deposit.
Yes: *_BUT YOU MUST HAVE AN EXIT STRATEGY_* If you can rent a car and hustle 6 days a week, get your butt up at 5am and hit the road, it's worth it. *_DO NOT RENT AN EV_* Once you've saved up $10k buy a used Nissan Altima 8-10 years old. *_BUY IT CASH_* and then you have a beater you're not emotionally attached to that you can use just for Uber/Lyft 39mph highway 27mpg city. Once you age out, make sure to sell the beater and get a new one. Same car. If you want to pay more, get a Camry Hybrid.... These two cars only. Charging takes too long and time is money. I made $1650/wk clocked $32/hr 10hrs out (including waiting for fast charging) with a 2023 Chevy Bolt Rental costing $350/wk. If I didn't have to sit for 2 hours per shift to charge it i'd have made more.
Excellent video, I am 56 yrs old and being fly attendant always was in my radar … I’m in a point of my life were finally I can do it ! So my question is , how often people my age try for this training course ??? I’m very interested!
When I worked at a technology company more than a decade ago, whenever we deploy software updates, we first install it at our customer site on several test stations that is running the exact same software as the live version. Once everything runs and a suite of tests passes, then we update the live system. Any problems or hiccups will delay the software updates until it gets fixed. It is to prevent issues like this. I feel for all people affected by the delayed and cancelled flights. On another note, I haven't seen too many flight attendants sharing their thoughts and experiences, so it is wonderful to hear from you. Great presentation. Cheers.
it’s because of the wear and tear on the vehicle when Ubering. It’s absolutely brutal. Renting the car may cost more monthly, but there’s no maintenance cost. Financing a car is cheaper month to month, but the maintenance can be extreme. It’s really a pick your poison.
