I was told by someone in the business many years ago to take the cost of your supplies and multiply by a factor of 6 to arrive at an appropriate retail price. Of course, you have to make adjustments if it's a beadwork piece with inexpensive supplies and very labor intensive
Julie, how do you size stretch bracelets for gifts when the giver doesn’t know sizes? How do you price a piece with a mix of beads that have vastly different prices when you haven’t yet designed the piece and don’t know the proportion of each bead you’ll use?
These are great tips! I womder if someone can answer my question about which software people create patterns in and which they use to create designs. I feel like. There has to be an easier way than say, using shapes in Word to show beads- and had to include all the different bead shapes! Your happy kids were wonderfully fun to hear, Julie!
I would like some suggestions on how to package fringe earrings so they don't get all tangled while traveling to and from a show. What kind of storage box do you recommend?
Small cardboard boxes are a great way to package your projects. We are working on restocking them, but you can see examples in the following item listing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EHO36PUJbWc.html
