Tips on Opening a Security Company, Getting Contracts, and Hiring Guards - CWPS Exclusive Interview 

I really appreciate this interview in a longer form video. I think there's so much valuable information owners of successful companies can impart to future or current security company owners. Citywide looks like a very squared away company, that values their clients and their employees. It's great to see how the company invests in their employees, vehicles, equipment and training. This is exactly what we need more of out there! Would love to see more longer for videos like this, great job Sean with this review and interview!

I have been in security for two years now and I have considered creating my own security company if I do I'll probably wait and get some more experience in and then start it

I did one account 30 miles one way, so 60 miles per day, even with a company vehicle, we did not get paid for travel time within eight months, and I burned out. We could not keep guards due $ 15.50 per hour, and nobody liked giving up ten hours per week in travel time. The other significant factor is that we were required to stand the entire eight hours and work the grave shift. Now I drive a round trip of 6.2 miles and 18 minutes of round trips same pay, and we can sit down and use the restrooms without waiting an hour or more to use one.

The problem nowadays is people want to get paid without having to do the work I don’t think he’s asking for that much from his employees
