I would never have figured that technique out by myself so thank you Susan-Claire. The colours of that block are really lovely. I'd like to try appliqué or embroidery on the middle of the square and those intense pens you were demonstrating the other day.

I have seen this before but why do people feel the need to make things so difficult. Your technique was positive, rational, and easy to follow. Thank you for this video.

Saving this excellent tutorial to my Quilting Tips folder. Thankyou for this very concise, clear and cheerful lesson! What was the ombre fabric line you used? I love that blue block : )

Partial seams are extra nice because when you put them together for your top as you did here THERE ARE NO SEAMS TO MATCH UP.

I think this technique gives a more stable block than the usual square and four strips.

Thank you. Never done this technique. Have a lot of 2 1/2” stripes. Will be trying this very soon. Please post your finished quilt, would love to see your finished product. Again, thank you, I really enjoy your videos. 🧵🧵🇨🇦

Just made this block! Love love it. I also used a left over 5” charm pack square (white) and cut the 2 1/2” stripes to 7”. Worked out great! I have a package of white charm pack left over from another quilt, think I will use it. Thank you Susan, you are great. 🧵🧵🇨🇦
