This is a great guide video. I'd like to add that the Telkine on Act 3 may drop the Legendary Adamantine Sickle of Kronos weapon, a crazy powerful weapon and it can also drop it on Normal difficulty!
The Line of Epic Heroes the sickle dropped for me on Normal after watching you video, but it has a level 80 requirement, plus strength and intelligence of 1000 each. Right now I'm level 34 with a Haruspex build, 271 strength and 106 intelligence. Very far away from equipping it :/
wasn't even farming and found a spider legtip and with a relic could carry you into the final act of normal. then with sabretooth found 8 without even looking for them. was insane :O Starting last wusao mountain rebirth shrine is usually my start point. Kill the Telkine, kill Typhon and then warp to Vally of the Kings for the Telkine in Ramses Tomb. Awesome Farm Run. Later you can quite simply add Secret Passage to it as final. I don't really do Hades runs most of the time. If you don't get at least 2 blue's per run on Normal then exit to desktop and restart the game. Every time you start the game a random seed will be generated which determains your chance of loot drops. So if your drops is poor, restart and hope for a better seed. if you get a nice amount of items per run then keep going of course. Totally milking it for what it is worth :D
Good advice on the loot seed. I did 50 boar Snatchers runs, (I'll post results another time) exited to desktop 3 times throughout. I had a bad run of about 15 chests after logging back in, with hardly anything. But overall was quite good.
dude now your channel only needs some Anniversary Edition build guides :) those would fill a big hole because most of the old build guides are outdated now and people are searching for anniversary build guides like crazy.
Your right, there's a lot of changes. I will try to add some but it can take a long time before you know if a build is any good. I'll make a build guide for the Rogue/Earth I made for the farming guide. So far it's better than I expected.
Nice video! Loved the times where we made the database ourselves when the game was still new. So happy to see people make videos like this still 10 years after!
These video's have some great advice for people starting out, I wish they had been around when I started. :) I'd recommend making a post on the TQ-AE steam discussions page to promote them if you haven't already (or perhaps after you finish act 4's video). If you want suggestions as to other videos to make, perhaps an advanced farming guide after you have finished the act specific ones, with info on where to find the best legendaries/MI's (eg. Sapros from Polyphemus as in your act 1 vid). Also as many have said already, class guides updated for AE are sorely needed.
I posted the farming videos in the guides section on steam, act 4 should be done within a week. At some point I will do a legendary boss farming guide. I like your idea about farming specific items, thanks for the feedback
The devs have upgraded Typhon. Cheesing Typhon with a bow from the ramp is no longer possible. One big tip: if you've been running the game on very fast mode, consider changing back to a lower speed. AE edition allows you in Options to change the game play speed. If you have Nature mastery, consider respeccing into Nymph. She won't run up and sacrifice herself to Typhon like most pets. Her ranged attacks won't kill her on Thorns. She won't survive a vitality cloud attack (Typhon's AoE vitality attack), but your attacks should hold Typhon's attention. Try to run a pattern than juggles Nymph, Typhon and your character so neither you nor the nymph gets nailed. Good luck!
I was surprised when you said its typicaly fought at lvl 17.. I turned your video to listen while i fight.. fought you would told loot to farm for.. Well I was lvl 13 harbringer. I had ~17hp potions.. big helper was battle standard. That was some hot fun - didnt knew who will kill whom... i killed him at 45HP with 0 potions..
I went against the last Telkine twice and he dropped the Sickle of Kronos. Adamantine with 500-550 base damage 900 life leech and 100% damage to titans. But requires level 80. That was my first really big loot drop.
One of my regrets about this game is that with good equipents, that arent that hard to obtain, especially when you know where to farm, you can rape everything in the game very easily at legendary without any trouble. I thought that in the anniversary version they add a 4th difficulties without new items tier. But sadly no :(. Of course theres mod but it only add monster number and perhaps boost bosses strenght but it is not the same for me.
6:18 - "Sabertooth is one of the most COMMON Monster Infrequets" Me: *gets like 2 copies of the armor, the axe, but not a single one until recently. This main is halfway through Hades* You sure about that?
"..a shrieking helm with life leech resistance, just in time for Typhon" oops. Typhon's attack has proven to be vitality based, NOT lifeleech. I've seen the videos of gear swaps proving it.
Yep, it turned out to be useless. I was going off my memory of TQ:IT when it wasn't so easy to distinguish Life Leech resistance and Vitality Resistance, sharing the same stat.
exactly. It took a few tries of swapping gear before the guy was sure it wasn't leech but vitality attack instead. they both look exactly the same. video is on youtube so should be easy to find for anyone interested.
Yes, plus many other things along the way. I did 50 Boar Snatcher runs and will have a video soon with the results. A lot of people are still having trouble with Typhon so I'm making a quick survival guide.
Aleksandar Tsvetanov я имею мага танка ,валит мобов как одуванчики одним пальцем.и такой тифон 4-6 секунд.секретный черепашный проход мой рекорд около 3 -4 минуты все мобы
I'm a dragon hunter with 1400 hp lev 32 when I reached Typhon. How the heck do I beef up my hp???? I got one shotted by Typhon the first time I met him. Been trying to farm since then, but I can't seem to get hp up. Edit: died twice and it took me 20 minutes, but I got him.
Im on epic, and im stock at the demon bull, he kills me too fast. Should I focus on bleeding resistance, i thought he was piercing dmg main though, because he kills me with his strike. Im duel wielding warrior class main.
Hi The Game Attendant, you may know this thing. In act 3 in chumbi valley cave...there is a secret passage right? At the end of the cave there should be an entrance between the two torches. Do you know, how to open it? I sadly forgot.
By far your best chance to find good set pieces are from Typhon (up to this point in the game). In 10 runs I got pieces for both Jade and Imperial sets. A lot of it is just luck, you might find a piece in bone pile or dropped by a trash mob. I wouldn't recommend putting too much time into completing a set on normal difficulty. You will quickly outgrow them in epic.
11:00 i dodge 0, i just tanked cos he is nooob, that's easy boss 12;00 i had to got head to head, cos of my build, but if you get a good gear it's easy
The farming videos, act 1 - 4 are in normal to show new players the basics. I'll be doing some legendary farming a bit later. Some good Assassin armor in normal are Imperial Raiment which drops in act 3 and 4 and Gebel Tjauti which starts dropping in act 2. You can get good results wearing two different armor sets as you can get the set bonus from each one. A Sabertooth from act 3 is an awesome Assassin weapon.
sabertooth is an awesome weapon, period. for any build that is not a pure staff caster or a bow hunter. you can wield a Folg in one hand, and a sabertooth in the other, and still have a fantastic attack rate, even in normal, and dual wielding them puts you near the speed cap without adding anything else! I went all elemental on mine as a thane (electrified/lighting and biting/frost with thunderbolt relics on both) and that worked out really well. my damage output was through the roof, regardless of whether i was casting or melee. I didn't even need any life leech, simply because I was killing stuff before it could really hurt me, even bosses. you swing so fast, if you hold shift, it's like you become a living cuisinart, and everything short of a boss just dissolves as it runs into your blades of elemental doom. sadly, probably have to give up a bit of that for some more physical and life leech damage for legendary mode.
hi can i upgrade my normal version to anniversary edition or is there a steam edition out? I also hered something about immorthal throne. But i don't want to break save file. Can anybody help me?
where can i find that guide with the item pieces u show in ur video? bveen looking but cant find any site that mentions WHO or what creature drops what item. i mean like the page at 3:46 in the video
That guide is TQ Equipment Database (Here: titanquest.fandom.com/wiki/Offline_Titan_Quest_Equipment_Database ) it has not been updated for Anniversary Edition so many of the stats are incorrect now. TQDB ( Here: www.tq-db.net ) does give some drop info for MI's but it's limited.
Only Act 2. Here's an old forum thread discussing it, page 3 particularly ( www.titanquest.net/tq-forum/threads/43150-Guide-Gilded-Dead-locations-in-the-Valley-of-the-Kings 0
So i today I beat act 2 telkine and went ALL the way through act 3 right up till the third telkine. I closed out of the game for a while and when I opened it back up it said something about cloud save or some other option, I've always picked the cloud save. When I loaded back into my game I lost EVERYTHING I had done today. I started at the well outside Ramses tomb without ANY of my awesome new gear. Is there a way to recover my data?
Ouch that sucks. Unfortunately the cloud save probably overwrote your PC save. The save files for each character are in Docs>MyGames>TitanQuestImmortalThrone>SaveData>Main. But it only keeps the most recent save. Something you could try. Create a copy of the characters save file (just the one with it's name on it) and move it to desktop (or wherever else you will remember it). Delete the original, and start the game. At this point your character should be gone (unless the cloud kicks in). Exit to desktop and use the copied save to replace the one you deleted. Now when you start the game it will ask you if you want to load the cloud or the local save. Take the local and cross your fingers.
A typical farming run that I used to do was to port to Jade Palace portal and kill the few packs of Tigermen in that area, then cross the bridge to the large Tigermen camps. I would then port to Great Wall and clear all the camps in that area. You could then go to Chang'An. There are packs near several of the entrances/exits.
Where exactly can i get essence of the dragon kings? I've went all through normal with my 57 level account and i got one... from Typhon after 3 tries. Please help!!!
That one doesn't drop very often but the best places to find it is from act 3 bosses and Typhon. The Telkine, Barmanu, Bandari, Demon Bull, Chimera, Colossal Peng. It can be tedious to farm.
Guess I'm gonna have to farm quite some time... Last time I wasted 2 hours on Typhon and only got one shard. Thanks for the help! Wait that happens in all difficulties right?
The act 3 Telkine and Typhon would be your best chance. On rare occasion Tigermen can wield them. Btw if your dual wielding you can use two Yins or two Yangs and still get the set bonus.
Technically, Typhoon can be related to Act IV, since the portal to Olympus is in that section. But yeah, he's the only one worth farming at this point. I will never forget how he dropped in one run 4 epic items: 2 items from one set, 1 ring and 1 pair of boots, all of which my Ranger still wears in Act V.
