The fourth and final act wraps up normal difficulty farming. Secret Passage included and a secret, in secret passage. NERF ALERT! Batrachos Greaves are now a flat 40/80/120 defensive ability, not worth the time to farm.
Thanks for doing Normal dif, I've played this game for years but haven't once unlocked legendary (was too young to spend that much time playing), and since I haven't the slightest idea how to qucikly run through ragnarok and atlantis, I'm pretty much forced to stay on Normal forever. Your guide is very detailed and helpful and it doesn't take 48 minutes outta my life, so huge thanks for that mate!
One thing that is definitely worth is the 'lindane'(in epic). I found it in the forests next to the secret passage and I found it randomly. Totally a monster that carried me till act 2 legendary and still does. Totally worth farming as it has very high poison damage and damage against formicids
Can you do an Act 5 farming guide? I feel like Ragnarok has some of the strongest items and i see you still to some TQ videos from time to time so it would be a good one.
not sure if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my brother for the last months :)
These videos have been a great help for me on my latest character. Been a fan of TQ for a few years and glad to see it back. Do you have any thoughts on the Warlock class Game Attendant? Your magician inspired me to see how viable rogues were and I haven't been disappointed with the changes.
Yes, there will be more informative type videos and hopefully some more builds. The Anniversary Edition changes make for some interesting build combos. Unfortunately they take a long time to test.
Nice! Glad to hear that. Please consider making a video about your favorite places to farm each type of relic and shard in the future. (I don't know if that's the right name.... I mean those "venom sac" and "Essence of Phometheus flame" kind of things). That would be god sent.
The base stats on the Razor, energy leech and attack damage converted to health won't give a DPS increase over a Sabertooth. You have to get lucky and find one with a good affix to out damage a Sabertooth. Only the blue colored Melinoes can drop the sword, Elysium is good place to farm it
I picked up the game again after seeing that they updated the game, then I switched to Immortal Throne and simply did new characters ... Are green items still better than Legendaries ? (cause you can put relics on them) because I usually ditch everything that is not blue/purple ... And I'm getting shreded because I only care about damages shown (even if I just noticed that I shouldn't be looking at it ...)
Green weapons (specially Monster Infrequents) with relics/charms are usually better than legendaries for damage. The DPS stat doesn't always display damage correctly, particularly with damage over time or if the weapon has resistance reduction. Defensive skills and resistances become very important for survival later in the game.
Great Video. Appreciate your time. Question for you though. I am a new player and I am wondering what website your referencing here to look at the gear drops?
Titan quest offline database, found here: titanquest.wikia.com/wiki/Offline_Titan_Quest_Equipment_Database This has not been updated for Anniversary Edition. www.tq-db.net/ is also a good resource.
When I download the offline database and try to launch it, it just loads a light grey screen with nothing displaying other than the title bar at the very top. Issues for Windows 10?
I have the build guide here, there are 2 parts so far: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Jb06D3uabk8.html Part 2: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JQpK6FUEAtA.html This build worked out much better than I expected when I started it.
In your opinion, is Kthonian Razor worth farming (in epic). I'm currently a melee ritualist (not recommended btw), and will currently switch to a paladin or an Assassin.
hi, i'm doing an assassin build and just wondering if i should go bleed or poison? also most of the guides say bleed and poison isnt affected by attributes, but the game itself says dexterity should affect poison, bleed, piercing damage etc., may i ask which one is true?
Yes Dex does affect all the damage types you mentioned. This only applies to Anniversary Edition, the guides were probably outdated. You should be able to get higher damage from bleeding but better defense with poison, Nightshade and Mandrake particularly.
The Game Attendant So in theory, in IT, it is possible to reach 100% damage absorption ? for example with War Banner (don't remember the true name)+Colossus + some damage absorption from the stuff ?
The Game Attendant Can you tell me some ? i know haruspex, avoiding every projectile and blocking the rest, but it is weak to AoE. I want to build the best tank ever, and i do not need any source of dmg as I will play with my brother (he will go for a bow Brigand). If I buy the TQ's gold edition, will the limits be those of IT ? +How does damage resistance works ? if I got 2 gear pieces, one giving +15% resistance to damage, and the other +10%, does it simply adds up to give me 25% resistance to DMG ? if yes, if I can find a complete gear giving me 100% DMG resistance (not reduction, I really mean DMG resistance), will I be totally immune to DMG ? Or does it work like the other resistances, so -100% resistance to DMG in legendary ?
Yes TQ Gold includes IT. About the only limitations it has is the 80% resistance cap. There is no cap on damage resistance, but damage resistance only protects against physical damage. With 100% damage resistance you would be immune to physical damage only. Damage absorption protects against ALL damage types. So 100% damage absorption would be invincibility. In TQ:IT there isn't a limit on cooldown reduction (-% recharge). With 100% cooldown reduction you could have permanent Colossus and Battle Standard and be invincible. Some other alternatives would be 100% dodge attacks + 100% chance to avoid projectiles. You would not be invincible as some damage can't be avoided this way but you would be very hard to kill. No limit on "Less Damage From Monster Type" so 100% less damage from undead for example would me complete invincibility from undead, even Toxeus. There is a guide for this but I can't find it now. Btw only the 5 resistance on your character page get the resistance penalties in epic and legendary.
So, I noticed that you already tried to answer the same question, but I just wanna be fully covered. If I add the Titan quest expansion pack in my steam library, will I be able to download the anniversary edition for free ?
I don't think they are giving it free anymore. It doesn't look like Steam even sells Immortal Throne now, I can't find it in their store. Btw it turns out they didn't give it to hard copy owners, only to Steam version owners.
Was Toxeus patched? I killed everything in the secret passage except him but the chest still says locked by guardian. While I'm at it, what would be the best class for speed farming to gear up my other characters? My ranger isn't doing very well in that regard.
It was probably bugged, you still don't have to kill him. The best way to farm SP is with a caster that can kill everything without opening the cells. Storm/Nature is good for this. Plague, Squall and Lightning Bolt can all be cast through the cells. Plague and Squall have very short cool downs so you can chain cast them. Other classes can work too but I wouldn't use earth. The cool down on Eruption is too long.
Farming the frogs for the 120% defensive ability greaves. Have got all the other unique items they drop, except the greaves - been farming all day lol. Did you have issues finding your pair too?
The greaves got nerfed in AE. The defensive ability is now a flat amount (www.tq-db.net/search/Batrachos+Greaves) not really worth farming unless your playing IT. They do seem to be harder to find than the other items.
Ah thank-you for letting me know, I'll stop farming for them now. 120% was very OP, but would have been fun to use ha. I do have the original IT, but my friends play AE.
I actually started making farming runs for a video but it is VERY time consuming and I was burnt out from TQ so I decided not to do it. The updated TQ database shows where all the loot drops if your trying to find something.
hades treasure room was quite terrible on my run. not a single green or blue in any of the chests. man, for something that takes so long to get to, and you only get ONE chance per game at it, they should have guaranteed some epic drops, at least from ONE of the chests.
I think your three important skills against him are Battle Standard, Trance of Convalescence and Ancestral Horn. If your dual wielding switch to shield. Stack as much "less damage from undead" as possible, there aren't many items with that effect till epic. Be careful with items that increase damage to undead because they also increase the damage reflected.
Act 4 can seem really hard. High pierce and vitality resistance are a big help and items with less damage from demons. I didn't like act 4 (Immortal Throne) when it came out. The difficulty made some masteries feel broken.
i just finished detective set 5/5, warrior bracers very good vitality and bleeding resistance is hardest to get so far, just found armor with bleed resist. EPIC secret passage is fun to farm, always good drops
The key is dropped by Hades (The Overlord, it looks like a little turtle). It's random, you might get it the first time or it could take 20 plus Hades runs. The key can be shared by all your characters and it works on all difficulties.
The Game Attendant smh...i know that. How many points. Which ones should I focus on. I know str...dexterity? I just don't want to come up short and have to wear a corny dexterity amulet. Also I've been using the two rings ever since my level allowed..timalos? Think and the other one? How about you?
The Timaios/Alke set is nice for conquerer. You will also get the set bonus if you wear two of the same ring. You won't need much Dex unless your using a spear or plan to use legendary Stonebinders Cuffs in which case you'll want about 400 dex. You should still keep your Dex over 300 for the extra Defensive Ability. If you spend your attribute points 2 Str : 1 Dex you shouldn't have any problems.
There are a lot of Rogue demons. Piercing, poison and bleeding resistance helps against those. High armor and items with damage resistance is helpful. Vitality resistance is also important in act 4, specially against Hades and The Night Mistress.
I'm glad you like the videos. I don't have any plans to do a Conquerer build but I do have some Slayer build videos (Warfare/Hunter) and will be adding Corsair (Defense/Rogue) next. I might also post a Guardian build from an old character brought over from TQ:IT. These videos could be useful for a Conquerer build.
I haven't played Harbinger but it's a strong combination. If your looking for a class with high survivability consider a Guardian (Defense/Nature). It's an easy build, you really only need Heart of Oak and the Plague tree from Nature to get through normal easily. You will get the highest hit points of any class. Champion (Warfare/Nature) is also a strong class. I have some Guardian Live stream videos from act 4 normal that might be helpful. ru-vid.com/group/PL-Bj776S3FVfxE0MDZg0vpCPJ7vqqe9cf
wow thanks i will consider that. I was under the impression that warfare and defense would have been the strongest tanks class. I want something that is tank that demolishes bosses so i guess defense and nature will try. Will nature give high dps? Warfare has high dps. Also as a side question do you use Tq inventory mod that increases carry weight?
Warfare/Nature will have higher dps than Defense/Nature but if you get the wolves (in epic or legendary, no need in normal) with the buff they cast then your dps will be pretty high. Also Plague makes everything weak so they die easy. I'm using TQ Vault for inventory space. It can't be accessed from in game.
